What a transformation!
This bungalow already had lovely proportions, but the original windows gave the property a fairly simple, conventional appearance. The aim with this project was to introduce more character and architectural detail, while choosing a style that still felt completely at home with the property.
And what a difference the finished result has made.
The new cream flush sash windows give a much softer, more traditional appearance than standard white uPVC, with face-mounted cross grid bars adding definition and character to every window.
To complete the look, new stone lintels and cills were introduced around the windows. It’s one of those details that completely changes the overall elevation - giving the bungalow a much more considered, characterful finish.
For the entrance, we deliberately didn’t simply match everything in cream. Instead, the new Endurance Doors composite door has a matching cream outer frame, with the door itself finished in beautiful Pearl Grey.
The subtle contrast allows the entrance to stand out as a feature in its own right, while still working perfectly alongside the cream windows and warm brickwork.
A really lovely example of how the right window style, colour and finishing details can completely change the character of a home.
