Contract awarded Atholl Street, Dunkeld

We're pleased to announce that Briyar Limited has been awarded the contract for chimney repairs, new rooflights and associated roof works at 10B Atholl Street, Dunkeld.

Dunkeld is one of the most complete 18th-century towns in Scotland, and the property sits within the Dunkeld Conservation Area. That means the works are governed by the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) (Scotland) Act 1997, and everything we do has to preserve the character and appearance of the building and the street around it.

In practice, that means careful planning and a conservation-led approach: like-for-like materials, traditional repair methods on the chimneys, rooflights chosen to suit a historic slate roof, and close attention to detail at every stage. It's specialist work, and exactly the kind of project our team is built for.

Another fantastic progress shot from our Slateford Green project in Edinburgh 🏗️🏠

It’s great to see the scale of the project from above, with works now progressing across the different roof areas.

A massive thank you to City Access Scaffolding for the incredible scaffolding works carried out across the site. With the unusual roof layouts and multiple turret areas, this has been a substantial access package, and the standard of workmanship has been first class. 👏

A brilliant team effort all round and we’re looking forward to sharing more progress as the project continues.

Now for the important question… can anyone name the two stadiums in the background? 👀⚽️

🛠️ Another Productive Day on Site 🛠️

Today the Briyár team delivered two reactive maintenance projects for valued clients within the social housing sector.

For Speirs Gumley, our team carried out emergency timber works, safely removing deteriorated soffit sections, exposing and inspecting the existing structure, installing new treated timber framing where required, and fitting new plywood soffit panels to restore the canopy and make the area safe for residents and the public.

Alongside this, we completed reactive brickwork repairs for Ferguslie Park Housing Association carefully opening up defective brickwork, carrying out the necessary repairs, and reinstating the wall to a high standard with matching brickwork.

Whether it’s an emergency response, reactive maintenance, or planned refurbishment, our focus remains the same delivering safe, high-quality workmanship with minimal disruption to our clients and the communities they serve.

Another strong period for the team at Briyár Limited with further contract awards secured across roofing, reactive maintenance and external refurbishment works throughout Central Scotland.
