Some recent work on a solar farm ⚑ πŸ”Œ
- Back in February we started by knocking back the hedges with the digger and flail where it was too wet for the tractors to travel

- Once the contractors were on site we started shifting the metal frame work and materials around the site with the tractor and low loader
Each load was roughly 14 tons of steel
The biggest cable drums were 8ft high and 5t each!

All in a day's work!

We were recently asked to remove these ash trees that had become dangerous due to early stages of ash die back and their close proximity to the customer's gas tank.

We made use of the digger and grab to lift the trees over the river and fence line with no disturbance or damage to the fence or watercourse. Once they were all down in the field, we could safely delimb and cut into rings ready to be split and stacked away.

These trees were inspected before commencing any work to ensure there were no nesting birds. Ash die back is still very much evident in a lot of our tree work but as ever, if you're not sure, give us a call!

We love a good bit of field drainage! Straight lines and accurate angles is what we like πŸ‘

The tile drainage bucket on the 14 ton digger with Trimble makes a dream team - this combination of equipment results in far better land drainage with the fall and depth set just right.

We have been busy working away over here recently, and one of our most recent jobs was to mill some trees that came down in a storm early last year.

It was a treat to get the big Stihl 661 saw out for a run, resulting in these beautifully even and flat long planks. They'll need some time to season but come the end will make very useful pieces for shelving, flooring... The possibilities are endless!

If you've had a big tree come down and would rather put it to a mill than logs, get in touch πŸͺ΅
