I’ve not posted in a while it’s been a very busy time on the tools and trying to fit in the quoting and pricing as well.

My spare time has been thoroughly enjoyed making a summer of memories with the family.

A recent sandstone project we’ve done which was a few days in the blazing heat for the customer to enjoy the rest to compliment the Thaxters Timber & Forestry LTD summer house.

Have just taken on these beech hedges , first cut trying to level them out a a bit and fill some holes so the future cut...

Have just taken on these beech hedges , first cut trying to level them out a a bit and fill some holes so the future cuts we should be able to square them off nicely.

Few bits of fluff left to fill some holes and the next cut should allow them to fill in well.

Busy days hedge cutting yesterday , yes I’m aware there’s a hazel behind the hedge which makes it look like I’ve left some on the end …

The second one being a mixed bay and Portuguese Laurel I’ve been working with for some time now to get it shaping how the customer wants it , this is a shared boarder hedge and cutting to the boundary isn’t really my cuppa tea but you gotta do what you gotta do !

The last job of the day was a long privet following the contour of the garden and also a mixed privet and beech hedge to maintain near the path.

It’s not always fun by the pool , sometimes it’s windblown trees that have failed at a union and sat on the pool cover …

As it turns out the rattan chair had actually saved a lot of weight from the tree going through the pool cover and made our lives a little easier getting it off.

Let’s hope this heat settles a bit now , it’s a bit much being wrapped up in chainsaw trousers in 30+ degrees!

Some recent box hedging removed which have suffered from both box blight and box moth caterpillars.

Both have been very devastating within the last couple of years and removing them isn’t always the method that needs to be used especially with the caterpillars.

There is treatments out there if your willing to spend some time and money to keep them going which a few of my customers have done with good success.
