We were recently called out by Stirling Council to see if there was anything we could do to help with a gull issue at a multistorey car park. Approximately 600 Metres of stainless steel Defender Bird Spikes later and the gulls have been successfully displaced!

A huge congratulations to Harry on winning Defender Bird Spikes annual Christmas card competition. Harry is our wonderful technician Roddy's son and we think his card is fantastic. Well done Harry! ☃️🎄❄️

✨A huge congratulations to Harry from Strathearn Pest Control of Scotland.✨His amazing drawing of a festive pigeon and seagull was a clear winner with the Defender team this year. We absolutely loved it and are proud to announce that we will be using it as our official company Christmas card this year.

🧡Thank you so much Harry.🧡 We hope you enjoy showing off your card to your family and friends and your special goodie pack too. 😀 Here is to the future generation of creative pest controllers and bird proofing superstars.

A nice heart warming story to kick off the festive period. Phil the pheasant had moved himself into a heavily populated area and was being a little cranky and aggressive towards the residents. Our technician Charles managed to have a quick chat with him and Phil agreed that he'd be much more comfortable in a nice rural setting. All's well that ends well!

That's what happened when we protected their solar panels from gulls.

✅ Immediate improvement in panel cleanliness
✅ Huge increase in electricity output
✅ Stopped constant cleaning costs
✅ Car park dramatically improved

We've written up exactly what we did, what it cost, and what actually works long-term (versus the cheap fixes that don't).

If you're anywhere in Scotland dealing with gulls or pigeons on commercial property, this is worth 10 minutes of your time.

Gulls destroying your solar panels? Here's what actually works for commercial bird control in Scotland—real results, honest costs, proven methods and a client review.
