Rob Roy Homes has been operating in the construction industry since 1974. We design, manufacture and supply timber frame buildings across the UK, and are uniquely suited to the small builder and self-build customer's needs.

Looking back at a fantastic project we were involved in back in 2024.

Designed to bring family closer together, this home is split into two separate apartments. Our customers’ daughter and her family live in the ground-floor apartment, while our customers enjoy the first-floor apartment.

For this project, we supplied our full timber frame package, including structural components, windows and external doors, roughings and finishing components.

A home built around family, work and everyday life. 🏡

Over 20 years ago, Jimmy and Jennifer built their self-build home on their working farm, creating a space that would suit their growing family and busy lifestyle.

After comparing a number of timber frame manufacturers, they chose Rob Roy Homes for the quality of our timber frame, specification and value for money.

Today, the house remains a much loved family home, perfectly suited to life on the farm and enjoying its beautiful views across the Earn Valley.

A self-build journey can take many different chapters, and we’re proud to have been part of Shona and Jerry’s for almost 20 years. 🏡

It all began in 2006 when they chose Rob Roy Homes as the timber frame manufacturer for their family home. They later returned to us for a second project, and most recently, we were delighted to work with them once again on their retirement home.

Now complete, their retirement home marks their third project with Rob Roy Homes.

We’re incredibly proud that Shona and Jerry have continued to put their trust in our team throughout the years, allowing us to play a part in bringing their homes and ideas to life.

Three homes. Three projects. Nearly two decades of working together.

Another look at this project as the build continues to take shape!

Since our last update, the timber frame for the house has now been erected with the roof also on now.

The windows and external doors are now on site and ready for installation, bringing this project another step closer to completion.

When Becca and Al began planning their dream home, they wanted a house designed around their lifestyle, practical needs and, of course, the incredible surrounding views.

As their timber frame manufacturer, we worked with them to provide a bespoke and flexible package tailored to their individual requirements. From their initial design through to future-proofing the space, it was important that their home worked for them both now and in the years to come.
