Episode 2 of our work at RSPCA York 🐾

Things are starting to take shape!

Here’s another look behind the scenes as we bring the plans to life.

Stay tuned to see how it all comes together.

Could your kennels be refurbished while you stay open?

Kennelbuild regularly works around live operations, planning projects in phases so existing kennels, veterinary clinics and welfare facilities can continue operating.

Every site is different, so we’ll work with your team to understand what needs to stay in use and plan the build around it.

Every animal deserves a space that’s built with their welfare in mind. 🐇

This new rabbitry has been designed to provide a safe, practical and comfortable environment, helping make day-to-day care easier for the teams who use it and better for the rabbits who call it home!

A police dog facility has very different requirements to a rescue centre, boarding environment or animal welfare charity.

Different animals. Different teams. Different ways of working.

The facility should be designed around all three, not forced into a one-size-fits-all layout.

Kennelbuild is about much more than kennels…

We design and build specialist animal care facilities for a wide range of species, from dogs and cats to rabbits and beyond, always with welfare, practicality and the needs of the people using the space in mind.

Every animal has different requirements, which is why every facility we create is designed around how it will actually be used.

A quick look at where things currently stand at RSPCA York. 👀

The site is right at the start of the process, with the existing areas being cleared out ready for the next stage of the project.

We’ll be sharing the progress as the site starts to change, so keep an eye out for the next update.

A good kennel facility should work just as well for the animals as it does for the people caring for them.

From layout and ventilation to drainage, materials and everyday usability, every detail plays a part.

That’s exactly what we build around.

Episode 1 of our RSPCA York project is here. 👀

We’re taking you behind the scenes from the very beginning, starting with a look at the existing site and what needs to be removed before the next stage can begin.

Check back for Episode 2 as the project progresses.

It might not be the most exciting part of a kennel build, but get drainage wrong and you’ll definitely know about it.

Good drainage makes cleaning easier, helps maintain hygiene and keeps the facility working as it should for years to come.

It’s why we think about the practical details from day one.

Not every take makes the final cut… 😂

A few behind-the-scenes moments from our latest day at RSPCA York. Safe to say, talking to camera isn’t always as straightforward as it looks.
