πHot Weather & Lawn Care Update π±
With the recent spell of very hot, dry weather, many lawns are starting to turn or already are brown. While this can look worrying, it's actually a natural response. Grass often goes dormant during prolonged dry conditions to protect itself and will usually recover once cooler, wetter weather returns.
If you want to help keep your lawn greener, the best advice is to water deeply but less often, preferably early in the morning or late in the evening to reduce evaporation. Avoid cutting the grass too short, as slightly longer grass helps shade the soil and retain moisture.
To help protect our customers' lawns, we'll be mulching most dry and stressed lawns rather than collecting the clippings. Mulching finely chops the grass and returns it to the lawn, helping to retain moisture, recycle valuable nutrients, and encourage healthier growth without leaving heavy clumps.
πΏ Green, healthy, well-maintained lawns will continue to be cut as normal, with the cutting height adjusted where necessary to keep them looking their best while protecting them from the heat.
As always, we'll assess each lawn individually and use the best approach for its condition. Thank you for your understanding, and let's hope for some much-needed rain soon! βοΈπ§
