A brand-new transformation underway on the Woodland Manor Estate, Congleton. 🏡

This project will see us completely transform both the front and rear of the property, creating a clean, modern outdoor space designed to complement the home.

At the front, we’ll be extending and reworking the driveway using matching block paving to create a seamless finish with the existing installation.

To the rear, the transformation includes:

• Large-format 1200 x 600 Luna Ash porcelain paving
• Premium artificial grass
• A dedicated hot tub area
• A newly constructed step from the patio doors
• Full preparation, levels and groundwork throughout

A great combination of materials that will give this garden a sharp, contemporary finish.

Five weeks ago, this garden looked completely different.

What you’re seeing here is the result of a full garden transformation, taking the space from the groundwork stage right through to the finished details.

A project like this is about far more than simply laying paving and turf. Every level, fall, drainage detail, cut and finish has to work together properly if the garden is going to look this good and continue performing for years to come.

In this walkthrough, I take you through the completed garden and explain some of the work that went into creating it.

For us, the standard underneath the surface matters just as much as what you see when the project is finished.

There’s a lot more to pricing a large-scale landscape project than putting a figure against a drawing.

Over the last few weeks we’ve been working through this extensive landscape design, breaking the scheme down element by element to establish exactly what would be required to construct it properly.

From hundreds of square metres of paving and driveway construction, through to retaining walls, drainage, steps, fencing, decking, planting, groundworks, machinery, materials and the labour required to bring everything together.

Projects of this scale require careful planning long before anyone arrives on site.

Quantities need checking. Levels need understanding. Construction methods need establishing. Materials and plant need sourcing. Labour and programme durations need calculating. And ultimately, every part of the project needs to work together from the ground up.

Not every project we price will ultimately progress, but the same level of detail goes into every substantial quotation we prepare.

As AMS Landscapes Cheshire continues to move further into complete garden transformations and larger residential landscape construction, this level of planning and preparation is becoming an increasingly important part of what we do.

A complete garden transformation creating a clean, modern and much more usable outdoor space.

This project included extensive porcelain paving, sweeping curved detailing, contrasting edging, a new lawn and a separate paved seating area — completely changing the look and feel of the garden.

Not every day is a ground day… 📐

A lot of work goes on behind the scenes before we ever break ground on a project.

Today has been spent working through drawings, measurements and specifications ahead of a site meeting tomorrow for a very exciting upcoming project.

With projects of this scale, proper preparation is everything, understanding the design, checking quantities, working through construction details and making sure every element is accounted for before putting together the quotation.

Looking forward to getting out on site tomorrow and walking through this one properly.

Premium lawn installation completed 🌱

With the new topsoil fully prepared, we installed the turf using staggered joints, carefully knitted every seam together, cut precisely around the paving and thoroughly watered and rolled the lawn once complete.

The extra attention during installation is what creates a cleaner, more seamless finish and gives the lawn the best possible start.

A big shout-out to for supplying another excellent-quality lawn 👏🌱
