We’re starting off the New Year on a positive note…we’re now NFRC CPS Certified
The NFRC Competent Person Scheme (CPS) for the contractor emphasizes both skill and competence in the trade and ensures compliance with Building Regulations. By gaining this certification, it further demonstrates our commitment to offering the very best in service, while maintaining a skilled and experienced workforce.
What this means for our clients…
Within the refurbishment market, if more than 50% of a roof is being replaced, then it is a legal requirement to notify Local Authority Building Control (LABC). Accredited by UKAS and recognized by the Building Safety Regulator, the Competent Person Scheme allows the accredited contractor to self-certify their roof refurbishment work, as the vigorous vetting process has already proven a commitment to Building Regulation Compliance. Therefore, not only does the scheme recognize the skills and competencies of the professional contractor, but it helps in alleviating some of the hassle and cost associated with arranging inspection through LABC.
