Back down in Charlwood today fitting a set of architraves to a new door liner.

This is the method I was taught and it’s always worked well for me—clean, accurate, and gives a great finish every time. 👌

Running a business while being on the tools isn’t always easy! 🔨😅

Between jobs, quotes, invoices, and replying to messages, sometimes it feels like we’re spinning more plates than a circus act.

A recently completed family bathroom project in Carshalton ✨

This transformation included a brand new bathroom layout, a larger window to flood the space with natural light, and feature lighting along the shower plinth to add that perfect finishing touch.

We really enjoyed bringing this project to life and we’re over the moon with how beautifully it has turned out.

Today’s work took us to South Croydon, crafting a bespoke single glazed window using traditional joinery methods 🪚

Not much call for this kind of work these days, but it’s always satisfying getting back into proper site joinery and keeping the craft alive.

How many carpenters these days can still putty a window?

It’s not something I get to do often—learned it as an apprentice many moons ago. There’s not much call for it anymore with modern methods taking over… but it’s a skill I’ve held onto.

Nice to know I’ve still got it.

Replacing some window cill boards — nice, simple job, but satisfying all the same. Sometimes it’s the straightforward ones that hit just right 👌
