A caring presence when you can’t be there.

Do you worry about an elderly parent, grandparent, loved one — or perhaps you yourself could benefit from a little extra support?

I understand first-hand how difficult it can be trying to balance your own busy, hectic life while still worrying about your loved ones and wondering if they are okay when they are on their own.

Sometimes it’s not just our family members who need a helping hand. Life can become busy, overwhelming, or challenging, and having someone reliable, friendly, and trustworthy there can make all the difference.

When family live far away, or life simply gets too busy, it can be reassuring to know there is someone local who cares and can be there when you can’t.

I have worked within the local village community for many years and am a recognised, familiar face around the village. Over this time, I have built trusted relationships and gained an understanding of the people and community I support.

As Heaven Scent is run solely by me, you’ll always have the reassurance of seeing the same familiar face — never a different person every visit.

I offer friendly, compassionate support tailored to individual needs, including:

I Wish I Could Be There More…”

Between work, raising families, and living miles away, many of us carry the same worry:

“Is Mum okay?”

We call when we can.
We visit when possible.
But sometimes life means we simply can’t be there as often as we’d like.

Life gets busy. Work, children, errands, distance… and before we know it, days or even weeks pass by. Meanwhile, many parents and older loved ones spend long hours alone.

I offer friendly companionship and a warm chat over a cup of tea for elderly parents who may appreciate a little company during the day. Whether it’s conversation, sharing stories, playing cards, or simply enjoying a peaceful afternoon together, sometimes small moments make the biggest difference.

Loneliness in older adults is real — but so is their sense of humour, their stories, and their ability to absolutely destroy you at board games.

A quick call, a cup of tea, or even listening (again) to that story about “back in 1972…” can make a bigger difference than you think.

Side effects may include:
– Unexpected laughter
– Questioning how they survived without Google Maps
– Being sent home with snacks you didn’t ask for

Check in on someone older today. Worst case? You hear a story twice.
Best case? You make someone feel less alone.

And maybe learn how to fix something without YouTube.
