My Unc told me about this really cool new doggy shop he worked at just before christmas. He pretty much re-wired the shop, and had to run a new 3-Phase supply cable to this new 'K9000 dog wash machine'.
He wouldnt stop banging on about how awesome it was, so now that they are fully open and operational... I felt obliged to try it out myself.
Turns out... I would highly recommend you and your hoomans try it out too!! It's alot less traumatising than the bath he usually puts me in!
Any of your doggy needs, Stan's Dog Stop has got you covered! If you're lucky, the lovely owner Alison might even give you a treat too!

'Short courses' & 'six week wonder courses' are NOT a substitute for proper electrical training and competence.
This is how the last "sparks" walked away from a full re-wire....🔥🔥

It's impossible to list everything, but here are a few dangerous situations we found:

- 6.0mm t&e terminated into 100a Henley block.
- Multiple 'joints' with single insulated cables accessible to touch.
- 'Twist and Taped' connections.
- Busbar cut too short with evidence of excessive arcing and thermal damage.
- Pvc cable buried directly under tarmac at a depth of less than 100mm.
- Main cut out fuse open with exposed live parts 🤢🤢

Please make sure that you check these 3 things when hiring an electrical contractor to work in your home...

1. Credentials - make sure they are registered with a CPS scheme.
2. Qualifications - make sure your contractor has all of the relevant qualifications, and up to date industry training records.
3. Experience - be sure to check their online presence. Ie reviews and reccomendations from previous clients.

Watch this space over the next week to see how the MiBs tackle this disgrace of an installation....

Soon dusted the cobwebs out of this one! Gaps firecyle'd and wiska grommets at all cable entry points. Tight squeeze but we got it in there.

If you avoided a service on your car for 10 years, it's pretty much inevitable that you will be left stranded due to your own negligence.

Imagine your fuse box was the engine of your entire electrical installation... If you decide to not service and neglect your fuse box, then your cables/electrical infrastructure could also be deteriorating on the basis that they are not adequately protected. In turn, end up costing a lot more to rectify a simple fault that would have been easily picked up on a frequent periodic inspection.

Check your home insurance policy and make sure you are complying with their recommended 'maintenance' procedure on your electrical wiring.

Tax-saving tips and strategies for individuals and businesses!

For Individuals:

🐘Maximize your pension contributions: Contributing to your pension is a tax-efficient way to save for your retirement. You can receive tax relief on your pension contributions at your marginal income tax rate, up to certain limits.

🐘Take advantage of ISA allowances: ISAs (Individual Savings Accounts) allow you to save up to a certain amount tax-free each year. Make sure to use your annual ISA allowance to maximize your tax savings.

🐘Claim tax relief on charitable donations: If you make a donation to a registered charity, you may be eligible to claim tax relief on the donation.

🐘Use your personal allowance: Ensure you utilize your personal allowance fully. If you have more than one source of income, try to allocate your allowances so that you are not overpaying on taxes.

🐘Claim tax relief on work-related expenses: If you incur any expenses related to your employment that are not reimbursed by your employer, you may be able to claim tax relief on those expenses.

For Businesses:

🐘Take advantage of the Annual Investment Allowance (AIA): The AIA allows businesses to claim tax relief on the purchase of certain types of assets, such as machinery, equipment, and vehicles.

🐘Claim tax relief on Research and Development (R&D) expenditure: If your business carries out R&D activities, you may be able to claim tax relief on the associated expenditure.

🐘Consider salary sacrifice arrangements: Salary sacrifice arrangements can be used to provide certain benefits to employees in a tax-efficient manner, such as pension contributions or childcare vouchers.

🐘Claim capital allowances: Capital allowances can be claimed on certain types of expenditure, such as on the construction or renovation of commercial property.

🐘Consider the Flat Rate Scheme (FRS): The FRS can be used by businesses with an annual turnover below a certain threshold to simplify their VAT calculations and potentially reduce their VAT liability.

Remember, tax laws and regulations can be complex and may vary depending on your specific situation. It's always best to seek professional advice to ensure that you are making the most of available tax-saving opportunities while complying with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
