After completing the takedown of a dead oak within a woodland school area, the school decided to keep the main stem and use the timber as benches for the children.

We thought we could take it one step further…

While still on site, our tree team spent some time chainsaw carving the timber into rustic woodland benches, creating something unique for the children to enjoy in their outdoor learning area.

From a dead tree to somewhere for the next generation to sit, learn and enjoy the nature area. 🌳💚

Another bridge project completed by our Rights of Way team. 🌳🔨

Working for a local authority, our team recently completed the full replacement of a footbridge located on a golf course.

This was a true ground up project. The new bridge framework was fabricated in house at our yard before being transported to site. The existing bridge was removed, new concrete foundations were installed, and the new framework was then fitted into position.

With new deck boards and handrails completing the structure, the finished bridge provides a safe and durable crossing for users of the Rights of Way network.

This stump was positioned tight against a fence and kerb, making mechanical stump grinding impractical. Instead, we used Eco-Plugs as a targeted alternative.

The plugs are inserted directly into the stump’s cambium layer, where they slowly release glyphosate into the root system, preventing regrowth and allowing the stump to naturally break down over time.

Because the treatment is applied directly to the stump, target application helps minimise exposure to surrounding soil and vegetation, making it particularly useful where surrounding planting needs to be considered.

The sealed capsule design also helps reduce the risk of chemical contact during application, providing a more controlled method of stump treatment when used correctly.

Yesterday, we came together as a company to celebrate Glen Poole and Ben Prince, who both mark 20 years of service with County Tree Surgeons this year.

Over the past two decades, Glen and Ben have played a huge part in the success of the business. Their hard work, commitment, professionalism, and dedication have helped shape County Tree Surgeons into the company it is today.

To recognise this fantastic achievement, the whole team got together for a BBQ, where they were each presented with a commemorative trophy in appreciation of their 20 years of service.

Thank you both for everything you’ve contributed over the years. We truly appreciate your loyalty and the example you set every day.

We were recently brought in by a fellow local arboricultural company to assist with a large contract chipping project.

Using our Heizohack whole tree chipper, we quickly processed a substantial quantity of brash before removing the chip from site with our Chieftain bulk trailer, leaving the site clear and ready for the next stage of works.

Whether we’re supporting local contractors or delivering projects directly for our own clients, our specialist fleet allows us to complete jobs efficiently, safely, and professionally. 🌳

Our HIAB lorry and MEWP teamed up to safely dismantle this pine tree, allowing us to retain large sections of timber.

Once back at the yard, the timber will be milled and repurposed into products for our Rights of Way projects.
