We originally attended this property after the lovely customer contacted us regarding a number of roof repairs.

After carrying out a full inspection, we went through all of the issues with her, explained exactly what could be repaired and gave her all the information so she could make the right decision.

💧 Water was getting in... but the problem wasn't just the roof.

This large flat roof had three skylights, and unfortunately two of them had been leaking for quite some time.

By the time we carried out our inspection, water had already found its way beneath the roofing system, leaving sections of the timber deck rotten, weak and starting to develop mould.

After discussing the options with the customer, we agreed the best long-term solution wasn't another patch repair—it was to do the job properly.

🔨 The works included:

✅ Removing the existing flat roofing system.
✅ Replacing all rotten and weakened roof boards.
✅ Installing a brand new EPDM rubber roofing system.
✅ Fitting a brand new gutter.
✅ Ensuring the roof was fully weatherproof around the skylights.

This homeowner was advised by another company that the only option was a complete new roof.

👌🏽Sometimes doing it right means doing it twice...

Whilst I was out carrying out a quotation on another property on the outskirts of Birmingham, a gentleman a few doors down asked if I could take a quick look at his roof.

He'd recently had another roofer out to repair the ridge and fit a roof vent, but unfortunately the work had been left unfinished and wasn't completed to a good standard.

After carrying out a FREE drone roof inspection, it quickly became clear why he wasn't happy.

❌ Cracked ridge tiles.
❌ Ridge tiles sitting uneven and out of line.
❌ No ridge batten fitted.
❌ An incomplete ridge system that wouldn't stand the test of time.

The customer decided to stop the previous contractor from carrying on and asked Aqua Pro Roofing to put everything right.

🔨 The works we completed:

✅ Removed the poorly installed ridge system.
✅ Installed new treated ridge battens.
✅ Fitted ridge support trays.
✅ Installed a brand new mechanically fixed Dry Ridge System to current British Standards.

Whilst we were there, the customer also mentioned persistent condensation and damp around the front apex.

After investigating the issue, we returned with our scaffolders and completed a second phase of works:

✔ Replaced the fascia boards.
✔ Finished by painting the remaining timber black to perfectly match the opposite side of the property.

🚧 Another Full Roof Transformation Completed 🚧

This one was a challenging project for us — the property had multiple layers of previous roofing, including two different roof structures and pitched roofs with plastic tiles built over the top by a previous contractor.

We carried out a full strip-back and rebuild, removing everything back to structure and starting fresh.

✅ Full roof strip (all existing layers removed x3 roofs underneath)
✅ New timber structure and framing installed
✅ New OSB boarding throughout
✅ Roof re-designed and raised to form a clean, slight-pitched flat roof
✅ Stunning skylight installed to bring natural light into the kitchen
