🎤🚰 Customer called me out to this Elvis Presley-themed basin after being told by a previous plumber that the taps were impossible to repair without cracking the basin! 😳

Because of that advice, they lived with stiff taps and poor operation for over 20 years. 🤯

When I got there, I turned the water off, removed the tap heads, reseated the valves, ground them in, fitted new tap heads, and got everything working properly again. 🔧✨

No cracked basin. No major work. Just the right diagnosis and a simple repair. 👍

Sometimes the difference isn’t the job… it’s knowing how to do it. 👨‍🔧🎶

🌡️ Putting my Hikmicro E01 thermal camera to work on this underfloor heating repair! 🔥

I've had this thermal camera for a while now, but I don't get many opportunities to use it on underfloor heating systems.

In this video, I'm using it live on the manifold and pipework to check that every circuit is heating up correctly after the repair and system flush. 👀✅

One of the things I like about thermal imaging is that it allows you to see temperature differences instantly, making it much easier to identify heat flow, spot cold areas and confirm that the system is working exactly as it should. 🌡️🔍

You can actually see the route of the underfloor heating pipes through the floor as they start warming up, which is pretty satisfying to watch! 🔥🏠

This wasn't the main part of the job, but it was a great way to verify that the repairs had been successful and that every zone was performing properly. 💪🔧

🚫 Nobody wanted to repair this underfloor heating manifold! 😳💧

The customer had already contacted several companies and was struggling to find someone willing to take the job on. 🤦‍♂️

What looked like a simple leak turned out to be something completely different once I started investigating. 🔍👀

In this job I repaired the leaking manifold, replaced faulty flow meters 🔧, flushed every underfloor heating circuit 🌊, cleaned the magnetic filter 🧲 and got the whole system running properly again. ✅🔥

🚫 Nobody wanted to repair this underfloor heating manifold.

The customer had already contacted several companies and couldn’t find anyone willing to take the job on.

What looked like a simple leak turned into a full manifold repair, circuit flush, filter clean and system recommission.

The surprising part? The leak wasn’t actually coming from where everyone thought it was.

I filmed the entire repair from start to finish, including fault finding, flushing every underfloor heating circuit and proving everything was working again with an infrared thermometer.

🔧 What’s one tool that’s completely overrated? 🤔

For me, a ratchet spanner was one of the first things that came to mind. 😅

The truth is, too many people are filling their vans and toolboxes with gear they’ve seen online 📱👀. One person uses a tool on one specific job and suddenly everyone thinks they need it too. 💸

Don’t get me wrong—there are plenty of tools that genuinely save time, make life easier, and are worth every penny ⚡🔥. But buying every new gadget that pops up on your feed isn’t the answer.

Stick to the basics 🛠️. Master the tools that have stood the test of time ⏳. Buy tools because they solve a problem you actually have, not because someone on social media told you to. 👍

Baxi boiler showing an E20 fault code ⚠️

A quick Google search shows E20 is a Central Heating NTC (thermistor) sensor fault 🌡️

Diagnosed the issue and replaced the thermostat/thermistor from stock on the van 🚐🛠️.

I did drain the boiler down before remembering it was a dry pocket 🤦‍♂️💧, but while I was there I recharged the expansion vessel anyway 👍

A bit of heat paste on the new sensor 🌡️👌, filled it back up, tested everything, and the boiler was back up and running ✅

💪 Back in the gym after having some time off!

First session wearing my new awrah shorts and giving them a proper test. Really happy with how they felt during the workout 👌

Today was a push-focused workout at the David Lloyd in Coventry. Trained there using my friend’s guest pass and mixed in a little bit of pull work and some core exercises at the end.

And if you make it to the end of the video… you’ll see me attempting a cold plunge for the first time 🥶❄️

Let’s just say I only lasted a few seconds, but wow… that was definitely an experience! 😂❄️
