Giving this 100+ year old roof a new lease of life! 🏡🔨

With the original slate roof now over a century old and slates beginning to slip and fall, it was time for a complete replacement.

This project involved stripping the existing roof, upgrading the insulation, installing new membrane, treated battens, eaves ventilation, eaves support trays, a dry fixed ridge system, and finishing it with a modern man-made slate.

Every stage of the project was completed with the same attention to detail, from the initial strip-off through to the final clean-up, delivering a high-quality finish that’s built to stand the test of time. 👌

Another quality re-roof completed in Coventry! 🏡🔨

This project involved a full double re-roof using the ever-popular Crest Planum tile, finished with purpose-made cloaked verge details for a clean, modern appearance.

Alongside the new roof covering, we carried out a complete fascia, soffit and guttering replacement. As part of the works, we replaced defective timber, including the end rafters and backing boards, ensuring everything was rebuilt onto a strong, solid foundation before the new roof was installed.

The chimney was also fully refurbished with new lead-welded flashings, fresh pointing to the top, and the correct chimney cowls fitted to provide a long-lasting, weatherproof finish.

Every project is completed with the same attention to detail, from the structural timber right through to the final clean-up. The customers were absolutely over the moon with the finished result, and we’re delighted with how this one turned out. 👌

🏡 Project Complete – Cold Ashby 🏡

A few weeks ago we shared the progress on this natural slate development. We’re now pleased to share the finished result.

This plot has been completed using Le Seca Spanish Ultra Natural Slate, creating a clean, traditional finish that perfectly complements the property. The project also included the installation of integrated solar panels and conservation roof windows, maintaining the sleek appearance of the roof while providing modern performance.

We’re extremely pleased with how this one has turned out and would like to thank everyone involved in delivering another high-quality installation.

We look forward to completing the remaining plots on this fantastic development.

🏠 Hip End Roof Replacement – Leamington Spa 🏠

☀️ We certainly picked the hottest week of the year for this one, but the end result made it worthwhile.

This project involved stripping the existing worn Double Roman concrete tiled roof back to the rafters before installing a new breathable membrane, treated softwood battens and upgraded insulation to bring the roof up to modern standards.

The roof was then finished with new brown Crest Double Pantiles, complete with matching block-end ridge tiles to give the property a fresh, clean finish.

The chimney was also fully refurbished by re-pointing the stack, installing a new course of engineering bricks to the top, carrying out all mortar repairs, and fitting new lead welded flashings.
Another quality installation completed by the Pro-Roof team, providing the customer with a durable, weatherproof roof that’s built to last. 💪

Progress update from our latest natural slate project in Cold Ashby 🏡🔨

We’ve had the pleasure of working with the beautiful Le Seca Spanish Ultra Natural Slate, and so far it’s been an absolute pleasure from start to finish. The quality of the slate has been excellent.

Full hip-end re-roof recently completed 🏡

For this project we completely stripped the old tiles, battens, and membrane before upgrading the insulation and bringing the roof up to modern standards.

The new roof system included a breathable membrane, softwood treated battens, ventilation at both the eaves and ridge line, along with new lead-welded flashings around the chimney for a clean, long-lasting finish.

Finished in a Crest Double Roman interlocking roof tile, giving the property a smart, timeless look 👌

Finishing touches on a stunning oak porch 🏡

We were brought in to complete this beautifully constructed porch, adding the final details with concrete plain tiles, a rolled lead ridge, and stepped lead flashing.

A great bit of craftsmanship all round — and a finish that really sets it off 👌

Full re-roof completed on a detached property in Fenny Drayton 🏡

For this project we used Crest Planum Duo, giving the appearance of smaller tiles with a sleek, modern finish.

The roof was fully upgraded with a breathable membrane, proper ventilation at the eaves and ridge, and a full insulation upgrade to meet current standards.

Putting right a cowboy job 🔨

A recent re-slate of one side of a roof where the customer had unfortunately been let down by poor workmanship.

We stepped in and put things right — re-slating the roof in fibre cement slates, installing lead-welded flashings, and finishing with a dry ventilated ridge system for a clean, long-lasting result.

Mid-terrace up and over re-roof using Marley Ludlow Major in grey 🏡

This time we transformed a tired 1960s roof that had deteriorating tiles, failing brickwork, and a membrane that was almost completely disintegrated.

We upgraded the insulation internally, installed a breathable membrane with softwood treated battens, and replaced all fascia, soffits, and guttering with new UPVC. The old chimney was removed below rafter height, and the roof was properly ventilated at both the eaves and ridge.

Finished in Marley Ludlow Major concrete interlocking tiles in grey, along with re-roofing the flat roof bay using a Fatra PVC single ply system for a clean, modern finish.

Customer was absolutely over the moon — another great job ticked off the list 👌
