THROWBACK | Gaydon, Warwickshire
This garden transformation in Gaydon was all about creating more usable space and overcoming the challenges of the site.
By repositioning the fence line, we were able to extend the garden and create a much larger outdoor living area. Large-format Everest Gris porcelain paving forms the heart of the design, complemented by a contemporary stepping stone pathway that guides you through the space.
One of the biggest challenges was the sharp gradient across the garden. Rather than fighting the levels, we embraced them by introducing two raised timber sleeper terraces with integrated steps, creating a practical and visually striking solution.
To complete the space, modern Venetian-style fencing and pleached Japanese Privet trees provide both privacy and architectural interest, helping to frame the garden beautifully whilst softening the contemporary design.
It's projects like these that remind us that great garden design isn't just about aesthetics – it's about unlocking the full potential of a space.
