YOU ABSOLUTE SUPERSTARS HAVE DONE IT AGAIN! 🫶❤️

Honestly… where do I even start?

Before I went away on holiday, I’ll be completely honest, I was starting to worry a little. My phone had gone quiet, my inbox was quiet, and some of the quotes I had booked in just weren’t turning into work. 😢

Then, all of a sudden… BANG! 💥

My phone has gone absolutely mad! 😂 I’ve been averaging around 20 messages a day coming through my inbox, and I genuinely can’t thank you all enough.

Because of you lovely lot, 2026 is now fully booked! 🙌🖌️

I do have the occasional weekend available, and I’m more than happy to take on the smaller 1–2 day jobs when I can, but for larger projects I now have no availability until January 2027.

And even better… I’ve already got 3 jobs to quote for in January 2027! 🤯❤️

Sometimes I honestly ask myself, “Why me?”

There are so many fantastic decorators out there. People who are probably quicker than me, more experienced than me in certain areas, or simply better at some things than I am.

But then I look at the support I’ve had over the last year and realise it isn’t always about being the biggest, quickest or “best”.

Sometimes it’s about how you treat people, the pride you take in your work, being reliable, doing the little things right and building genuine relationships with your customers.

And that’s something I’ll always try my absolute best to do.

To think where I was this time last year makes this even more special.

After having all my tools stolen, needing a new van, I found myself in a really dark place, even though I didn’t really show it, I honestly wondered how I was going to pick myself back up and carry on.

But I was determined that those scumbags weren’t going to beat me 🥊

With the support of my family, friends, customers, fellow tradespeople, local businesses and all of you who have supported, recommended, shared, liked and commented on my posts… I came out the other side.

And now, looking at my diary and seeing how busy I am, I honestly feel incredibly proud and incredibly grateful. ❤️

The world can be a crazy place. Sometimes it feels like you’re just on your own little rollercoaster, going up and down and wondering what the hell is coming next! 😂

But moments like this remind me just how lucky I am.

I appreciate every single one of you.

I know I say it a lot, but I genuinely mean it — me and my little family appreciate every bit of support you give us.

Whether you’ve used me, recommended me to a friend, shared one of my posts, liked a photo or simply sent me a message of support… it all means more than you probably realise.

You’ve helped me rebuild something that I was genuinely scared I’d lost, and I’ll never take that for granted.

So from the bottom of my heart…

I genuinely try my best on every project I take on, no matter how big or small, or the value of the job. Every customer and every project receives the same care, attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Knowing that this is appreciated by my customers makes all the hard work worthwhile.

Quoting… sometimes it’s great, sometimes it’s not! 😅

I’ve recently quoted for 3 jobs to be carried out next year, which is great from a planning point of view. Most good tradespeople can be booked up months in advance, so getting organised early definitely helps.

But the responses have been interesting… 😂

1️⃣ “Your quote is too high. My uncle says a decorator should charge £100 a day.”

Everyone has a budget, and I completely understand that. But there’s a lot more to running a professional decorating business than the hours spent actually painting — materials, fuel, insurance, tools, preparation, admin, tax, experience etc.

2️⃣ “I’m happy with the quote, but I don’t want to pay a deposit.”

Deposits are simply there to secure the booking and allow me to plan my diary and materials, particularly when dates are booked months in advance.

3️⃣ And the third… 👻

Nothing! 😂 Not even a “thanks for the quote”.

Now, I’ll also hold my hands up — tradespeople aren’t always the quickest either! I know I can sometimes take longer than planned to send a quote or reply to a message. We’re all busy juggling the actual work and everything that comes with running a business.

I completely understand that not every quote will be accepted. Sometimes the price doesn’t suit, plans change or you decide to go in a different direction — and that’s absolutely fine.

But a simple yes or no is always appreciated. 👍

Morning all! ☀️

I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend!

I’m back at it today with a new customer in Coventry, starting work on their lounge/dining room, followed by the hall, stairs and landing. 🎨🖌️

I’ll be sharing some progress and before & after photos over the next few days, so keep an eye out! 👀

I honestly can’t believe we’re getting towards the end of the year already, and I’m so grateful to say that my diary is now very limited for 2026! 🥰

I only have two weeks of availability left this year:

📅 Monday 7th December – Friday 11th December
📅 Monday 14th December – Friday 18th December

Then my next availability will be from Monday 4th January onwards.

If you’re thinking about getting those decorating jobs finished before Christmas 🎄, now is the time to get in touch as these last few spaces are likely to go quickly!

Bloody hell, it scared the life out of me… it was REALLY loud! 🤣

Then I realised it was just a government warning that SRBB Painting & Decorating is probably the best painter and decorator in the UK. 😂🎨

Glad we’ve all been warned! 🚨🤣

Room number two completed for a returning customer in Coventry! 🙏🏻

I’ll be back in October to tackle the hall, stairs and landing, with potentially even more work planned for next year — always a pleasure to have customers come back to me for more work!

This was a graft but the dining room was fully prepared, sealed and lined using Wallrock lining paper before decorating.

🎨 Ceiling: Dulux Ultra Matt in White
🎨 Walls: Little Greene China Clay – Dark 178
🪵 Woodwork: Completed by the customer themselves

I also helped the customer fit their new ceiling rose, which they’re planning to spray themselves.

All ready for new carpets 🙌🏻

This is what being a decorator is all about. ❤️🖌️

I popped round to see a mate and fellow local decorator, and I couldn’t resist bringing him a few Paint Warrior brushes after finding out he hadn’t tried them yet… or more than likely, he was just too tight to buy his own 😂😂 Paint Warrior

I genuinely follow so many other decorators on here, and I’m always learning, picking up new tricks, different ways of doing things and little tips that can make a big difference on the job.

No matter how long you’ve been in the trade, there’s always something new to learn. I think that’s one of the best things about decorating — we can all share knowledge, help each other out and keep improving.

Over the years I’ve been lucky enough to learn a lot from other decorators, and I’m always happy to pass on anything I’ve picked up along the way too.

There’s no competition when it comes to helping each other out. We’re all out there grafting, learning and trying to do the best job we can. 👊
