Out in the Angus countryside today setting up some new agricultural contracts.
With the ever changing laws and regulations around obtaining and the use of rodenticides we are seeing more and more demand for our professional services across the agricultural sector.

New farm signed up on contract last week. Rats were sighted at various locations around farm. Rat runs found and traced back to burrows which were all baited and closed. Follow up visit carried out all burrows remain closed and no new rat sightings reported.

Minor chimney repair prior to installing bird point to prevent seagulls from nesting as in previous years. Customer has not been able to enjoy garden time with their young children in years gone by due to diving seagulls once eggs had hatched and seagull chicks landed in garden before being able to fly. Although seagulls are now in the nesting season it is still possible to obtain a licence to remove nest and eggs to allowing proofing measures to be put in place. Recent net install job carried out to a site that has had seagulls nesting on the roof for a number of years causing a problem to staff and customer during nesting seasons. Not only dose this stop the seagull from nesting and causing fear by the Swooping these birds are known for during the nesting season protecting their nest eggs and Young once hatched, but the installation of netting systems protects the roof from further damaged caused by nesting birds, reduces the frequency of gutter cleans required and helps prolong the life of the roof. Pigeon guano hygiene clean carried out to this old boiler room this week. Company trying to get the old plant up and running again but with the risks associated with pigeon guano the maintenance staff would not access the area to service and repair the equipment so using a biocide to render the guano inert and wearing to correct PPE we could safely enter the area to carry out a thorough hygiene clean making it safe for the maintenance staff to enter.
