Factor ONE but make it SpongeBob!

For this year’s Tour de France Femmes, Factor has teamed up with design studio Mighty Jaxx and its XXRAY series to create two very different versions of the ONE: SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star.

And they’re not just for show.

Both designs will be raced in the Tour by Factor-sponsored teams Human Powered Health and Ma Petite Entreprise.

The concept is simple: take one of the most advanced aero race bikes in the professional peloton and give it a little more personality.

The Tour de France Femmes has developed a reputation for an open, accessible atmosphere around the racing, with families and new fans getting closer to the action. The SpongeBob and Patrick designs are intended to tap into that, giving people who might not normally stop for a race bike a reason to look twice.

Beneath the graphics, it’s still the Factor ONE: uncompromising race-bike engineering, now with a little Bikini Bottom thrown into the mix.
