There’s something so magical about seeing a colour completely transform a space.

This is Zoffany’s Half Harbour Grey, and although it looked quite dark when I first started, this room can absolutely take it, and I’m so glad the customer went for it.

The depth and warmth it’s brought to the room has completely changed the feel of this home. It’s proof that sometimes the colours that look a little daring on the paint card are the ones that create the most beautiful spaces.

It may feel like I’ve been painting nothing but bathrooms lately..

This is the penultimate bathroom in this beautiful home, and I am really happy with how it has turned out. Just waiting for the electrician to finish off the lighting and it’ll be all done.

The floor has come up beautifully and, judging by the quality of it, should comfortably see another couple of generations through.

A pleasure to work on, and I promise, the next post won’t be another bathroom… probably.

A beautiful lime-rendered property in the heart of St Teath. You might recognise it, I recently painted the house next door.

This one wasn't quite as straightforward, though. Before I could even get the brushes out, it needed some serious repair work after a lorry backed into it. Thankfully, it's now looking as it should, with its striking black base and crisp white walls.

I've said it before, and I'll happily say it again, St Teath is such a lovely village. Everyone is so positive, friendly and appreciative of a job done well, and the café is still my favourite in North Cornwall. It's always a pleasure working here.

Every project has its own personality, and this one has been a real pleasure to work on.

This is one of four bathrooms I've been painting in a beautiful period property, where every room has been thoughtfully designed with a real eye for detail and individuality. It's always satisfying to work in a home where the finishes, colours and character all come together so effortlessly.

A quality paint finish isn't just about colour.. it's about enhancing the overall feel of a space and doing justice to the vision behind it.

Another day, another beautiful view.

Feeling especially grateful to be painting the outside of this stunning seaside home today and even more grateful that it's in the shade. A little less sunshine makes for a much more comfortable day, with the sound of the sea to keep me company.

It's days like these that remind me how lucky I am to love where I live and do what I love.

What a perfect day spent in the sunshine, giving this lime house a fresh new look with crisp white paint and a bold black line around the bottom. Most satisfying..

Working in this sleepy Cornish village has been an absolute pleasure. The people are so warm and welcoming, and even the dogs stop by to say hello. It's one of those special places that instantly feels like home.

Days like this remind me why I love what I do.

Why do I enjoy painting bungalows so much?

Well, for starters, they're all on one level, my feet stay firmly on the ground and the ladders get a well earned day off.

Another bonus is that I can clean the gutters and soffits properly before painting without ending up wearing half the dirt. It makes the whole job cleaner and helps achieve a better finish.

I also find that many bungalow owners are older and either can't tackle this sort of work anymore or simply don't want the hassle. It's nice knowing I can take that job off their hands and leave them with a home they're proud of.

Not every job is just about fresh paint. Working on this beautiful old pump house is a reminder that we're helping care for a building that's been here for generations. It took six coats of limewash to achieve this bright white finish, but seeing it brought back to life made every coat worthwhile. Proud to play a small part in preserving its history for years to come
