A fantastic day at the TSL Supply Chain Conference! 👏

Matthew Ross, Michael Morrisroe and Harry Ingram - three of our Directors - attended the TSL Supply Chain Conference at Coventry City Football Club on Tuesday 29th September.

It was a really positive day for M.R Industrial Services, with some great feedback, valuable conversations about future opportunities and, importantly, the chance to strengthen our relationships across the TSL supply chain.

Michael was invited by David Bell, TSL Group EHS Director, to deliver a presentation to the entire conference on SIF & P-SIF and their link to Life Saving Rules, representing both TSL and M.R Industrial Services.

No pressure then! 😄

Standing up in front of senior leadership teams, business owners and senior management from across the supply chain - along with TSL's CEO and their senior team members - was no small ask.

And to make things even more interesting, Michael was presenting just before lunch, following some excellent speakers and with the audience already warmed up!

He absolutely knocked it out of the park! 👏

Confident, knowledgeable and engaging, Michael represented himself, M.R Industrial Services and TSL brilliantly.

We couldn't be prouder- and I'm sure you'll all join us in congratulating him.

M.R Industrial Services would like to share with you the completed works we done for a client of ours BlueEarth Construction Limited on behalf of Collins Earthworks Limited at Ripley.

We designed, manufactured, and installed the following:

- Steel Feature Staircase PPC black – Glass balustrade with stainless steel handrail
- Atrium glass balustrade with stainless steel handrail on two floors
- Stair 1 – Stainless steel 3 bar infill system with stainless steel handrail
- Stair 2 – Stainless steel 3 bar infill system with stainless steel handrail
- Stair 3 – Mild steel PPC Black finish, top rail / mid rail balustrade
- Variety of other secondary steel works
- Armco & Impact Protection

This was a special project to be involved in, and we are very happy with the completed works. We wanted to make sure that the great late Dave Collins would be proud of this!

Massive well done to the BlueEarth Construction Limited team, the building looks stunning! Thank you for choosing and trusting us to be part of this project.

Last week M.R Industrial Services had the pleasure of attending Winvic Construction Ltd 5-a-side charity football tournament at Northampton Sileby Rangers FC, held alongside their 25-hour fitness challenge, celebrating 25 years of business. ⚽💪

We’re proud to have supported such a great event, raising money for 5 fantastic charities, especially Bemorefab Children's Cancer Charity - a charity that is particularly close to our hearts!

- Marie Curie UK
- Noah's Ark Children's Hospital Charity
- Dementia UK
- Restore Northampton
- Bemorefab Children's Cancer Charity

After topping Group B, we made it through to the semi-finals where we come up against a very good side in Hathaway where we were narrowly beaten on penalties after a 0-0 draw. Congratulations to SALAMANDA BUILDING SERVICES LIMITED on winning the overall tournament.👏🏆

Fair play to the M.R team, with a few of our footballing lads away/injured and not a large amount to choose from, we still managed to field a team & they still gave it a good shot! Next year, hopefully with a fully fit and available squad we will try and go that one step further – in the meantime, we are practising our penalties!

A big shout out to Andy Matthews who stepped in to help the team from one our main suppliers in Q-railing UK. Thanks to Sandra for keeping us fuelled, managing the team and helping us look the part with the kits! 🙌

✅ Achilles GHG Report Verification Achieved ✅

After nearly three years of dedication, collaboration and continuous improvement, we're proud to have achieved Achilles GHG Report Verification.

This independent third-party verification confirms that our greenhouse gas emissions reporting is robust, accurate and aligned with internationally recognised standards. It also establishes a verified baseline year, providing a solid foundation to measure our progress and demonstrate meaningful emissions reductions in the years ahead.

Like many organisations, Scope 3 emissions account for 87% of our total greenhouse gas emissions. That's why we're focusing our efforts where they can have the greatest impact - working closely across our business and supply chain to reduce emissions and strengthen our Scope 1, 2 and 3 ESG reporting.

This achievement is more than a certification - it's recognition of the commitment, hard work and perseverance of everyone involved over the past three years. While we're proud to celebrate this milestone, we're already looking ahead. Work is well underway on our next financial year's GHG reporting, with a continued focus on delivering year-on-year reductions in our carbon footprint.

🥈 Ecovadis Silver Medal – Two Years Running 🥈

We're also delighted to have retained our Ecovadis Silver Medal for the second consecutive year, with an improved score that places MRIS in the top 15% of organisations assessed globally.

This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability, ethical business practices, labour and human rights, and responsible procurement.

These achievements are a testament to the dedication of our team and our drive to continually raise the bar. While we're proud of these milestones, we're already looking ahead, working on our 2026 financial year emissions data and continuing to build a more sustainable future for our customers, partners and communities.

Last week we had the pleasure of having our managing director’s godson Garylee with us at M.R Industrial Services for his work experience.

During his time, Garylee spent time with several different departments across the business learning how each team contributes to delivering our projects. From learning about the different processes behind the scenes to spending time in the workshop, he embraced every opportunity that came his way.

One of the highlights of the week was getting hands-on experience with some welding in our workshop, where he showed great enthusiasm and an attitude to learn. 👏

It's always great to support young people looking to learn more about the industry, and we hope Garylee has taken away plenty of new skills and experiences from his week with us.

Thanks for all your hard work and we wish you all the best for the future! 👍

We are delighted to announce that M.R Industrial Services has been presented with our fourth consecutive RoSPA Gold Award at the prestigious awards ceremony held in the impressive ballroom of the JW Marriott Grosvenor House, Park Lane. 🥇

The award was proudly collected on behalf of M.R Industrial Services by Michael Morrisroe, our SHEQ & Sustainability Director.

This achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and wellbeing across everything we do. We're already working towards next year's goal, where a fifth consecutive Gold Award will earn us the RoSPA Gold Medal Award.

With some tricky weather conditions, there was some great golf and also some bad golf played at Wellingborough Golf Club for the Kori Construction Limited Charity Golf Day a couple of weeks ago.

It was a fantastic event to be part of, all in support of an incredible cause that Kori Construction are fundraising for throughout the year, with strong backing from the local community - Bemorefab Children's Cancer Charity. M.R Industrial Services are proud to have contributed to the fundraising on the day and to have taken part in the charity golf day as well.

Our team didn’t do so well overall, but individually our MD, Matthew Ross done what was needed on the day and that was beating the PRO! 👏

A big thanks to Kori Construction for the invite and we look forward to the next one! 🙌

M.R Industrial Services took part in a charity football tournament last week at Berkhamsted Football Club, supporting the Glencar Foundation… The lads only went and won it, bringing the Silver Cup home!! 🏆

The lads played 7 games in the group, winning 3, drawing 3 and losing 1, finishing joint 3rd in the group stage which was enough to qualify for the semi-finals. They then won 3-1 to set up a great final where M.R won an impressive 4-0 to take home the Silver Cup. 👏

This was great that we won the overall tournament, but the main reason was to raise funds for a great charity in the Glencar Foundation who continue to do a very impressive job in supporting communities and making a real difference – that’s the real winner!

Great charity, great event, great result!!

This achievement reflects our continued commitment to quality, environmental responsibility, and the health & safety of our people, partners and stakeholders. It’s a testament to the hard work, dedication, and high standards upheld across the business.
