AIR CON STOCK SITUATION UPDATE

If you’re waiting for an air conditioning installation, or we’re due back to finish off a few final bits, here’s a quick update.

The UK is currently experiencing a nationwide shortage of air conditioning equipment and related materials. At the moment we’ve got well over a dozen systems on back order, with stock arriving in dribs and drabs. Unfortunately there’s no real pattern to it either - one week we’ll get some indoor units and no outdoors or vice versa

Please bear with us. If you’re waiting for equipment, rest assured your system will arrive eventually and we’ll get it installed as soon as it lands.

Likewise, if you’re waiting for trunking parts, covers or any of the little finishing bits, we haven’t forgotten about you. Those seemingly insignificant pieces are proving just as elusive as the air conditioning units themselves. Trust us, we’d much rather have them fitted than a bunch of ‘almost finished’ jobs.

Thanks to everyone who’s been so patient. We know it’s frustrating, but we’re just as keen to get every job completed as you are.

First stage of a full air 2 air conversion in Bethesda. Customer wants to heat and cool the house with an air to air system which is obviously tricky for the hot water generation so we specified a hot water tank with a built in r290 heat pump that heat the water tank. A neat solution for water generation with air 2 air systems.

7kw Vaillant Arotherm installed for a customer over in Sarn. 40 degree design feeding into ground floor underfloor heating and first floor radiators.

The customer doesn’t quite believe us that he doesn’t need £1000 worth on/off controls and extra pumps and mixers bolted onto this system to make this work properly - but it’s how we do things.

A heating system should be as simple as possible and no simpler.

The results will speak for themselves come the winter 😎

Rolling into the new week with a new build heat pump install over in Holywell. One we have inherited from another contractor and redesigned so it will work super efficiently and make sure the house gets the heating system it deserves - SCOP 5 is the target.

Some of the things we removed in the re-design:

Fully zoned UFH system ❌
Fixed temperature underfloor mixers ❌
Buffer ❌

By removing those 3 things we reduce the installation cost and overall running cost of the system and most importantly improve the comfort of the system for the homeowner.

A system needs to be as simple as possible
and no simpler 😎
