The Green Thumbs Gardening Society was founded in Spring 2017 out of the desire to provide fellow students with a space where they could reap the profound benefits of 'growing your own'. It was our hope that through working in and with nature students would feel a positive impact to both their physical and, perhaps more importantly, mental well-being. And, in addition, there was of cour

se the inestimable benefit to be had in growing food in a sustainable - which is to say not environmentally damaging - way. Not only is allotment-grown food more wholesome, tasty and cost-effective, but you're doing no less than helping to save the planet! It is with pride that we can say that these two founding motivations today stand as our core, constitutionally inscribed, principles as a society.
