🎉 Celebrating 10 Years of Katie Foley! 🎉

This year marks a very special milestone as our wonderful Office Manager, Katie, celebrates 10 years with us!

Over the past decade, Katie has been such an important part of our team, keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes and making sure everything ticks along just as it should. We honestly couldn’t do it without her!

Since joining us, Katie has got married and welcomed two beautiful children into the world, so it’s been lovely to see so many special milestones in her life along the way.

Katie, thank you for all your hard work, dedication, loyalty and everything you do for us, day in and day out. So much of what you do happens behind the scenes, but it never goes unnoticed, and we’re incredibly lucky to have you as part of our team.

Planning permission secured for a temporary marketing suite at the Paragon development in Brentford.
Although modest in scale, its position beside the M4 Chiswick Flyover created a particularly constrained site. The application involved careful liaison with the highways authority around access to the motorway structure, construction activity and servicing.
A small project, but another useful approval—and another London borough added to the geographical range of our work.

Planning permission secured for two new family homes on a rural site in Rayne.
The site already had planning consent when we became involved, before we developed and secured approval for a series of amendments to the scheme.
The proposals comprise two substantial five-bedroom homes, with their traditional form and detailing responding to the rural setting. New planting, landscaping and biodiversity enhancements also form an important part of the wider site design.
Grow subsequently prepared the detailed Building Regulations package, and the homes are now almost complete. We’ll share photographs of the buildings and more about their technical development in a future post.

18 planning applications submitted in three months.
We don’t often stop to count them, but this week we realised just how much planning work has passed through the studio recently.
Behind that number is a considerable range of sites, clients and design challenges. Each application has required its own response—balancing the client’s ambitions with planning policy, site constraints, technical input and the character of its surroundings.
It also reflects the amount of work that happens before an application is submitted: assessing opportunities, testing ideas, coordinating consultants, developing the design and assembling a clear and convincing planning case.
Eighteen applications is a significant milestone for our small team, particularly alongside the projects we are already progressing through technical design and construction.

Reserved Matters approval has been secured for these two new homes, designed for members of our client’s family within the grounds of an important 19th-century village building.
The design responds to the individual needs of the future occupants while carefully considering the setting and the relationship between the new homes and the original property.
We are also working on the wider landscaping and additional facilities for the existing house, allowing the entire site to be designed as a coherent whole.
With the approval now in place, we are progressing the planning conditions and Stage 4 technical design. We’re looking forward to getting started on site.

Good to see works now progressing on site following planning approval for this 7-unit residential development in Braintree.

Grow Design Studio is currently progressing the RIBA Stage 4 technical design package and coordinating the information required for construction as the development moves forward on site.

Projects of this nature require close coordination between planning, technical design, fire strategy, drainage, structural design and buildability considerations to ensure a smooth transition from approved concept through to construction.

Planning permission approved! Really pleased to have secured approval for this new 7-unit residential development in Braintree, Essex.

The scheme went through a detailed planning process and required careful coordination of layout design, tree constraints, highways access, parking and fire strategy before approval was achieved.
