Installed a bunded oil tank 🔧

A new bunded oil tank installed on a solid concrete base, with all the required clearances from walls, windows and combustible materials carefully checked and maintained.

As OFTEC registered engineers, we’re now getting more involved in oil tank installations and servicing, alongside our plumbing, heating and boiler work.

Called out to a property where the boiler was overheating and discharging water through the vent pipe, with no heating or hot water due to poor circulation.

After investigating, we found a failed two-port valve with the internal pendulum ball snapped off and restricting the flow. The circulation pump was also heavily contaminated and restricting flow.

We replaced the faulty valves and pump, flushed and chemically treated the system, and tested everything. Heating and hot water are now restored, with the system circulating and operating much more efficiently.

The kitchen sink had fallen into the cupboard, pulling the waste pipework apart and causing a leak. We managed to secure and reseal the existing sink back into position, using a strong sealant for a neat, watertight finish, and repaired all the pipework underneath.

Oil Boiler Upgrade

We attended this property after discovering a leaking heat exchanger on an older oil boiler. Due to the boiler’s age and condition, a replacement was the best option.

A new boiler was installed on a levelled base, the system flushed, and everything commissioned and running correctly to OFTEC standards.
