Recent flat roof completed by the team in Mersea.

This was a very old felt roof that had been down since the 80s and was in need off an overhaul.

New timber works inc firring peices so as to create a fall to the gutter edge was carried out by members off the customers family which left us to finish it off and make it water tight.

A new chase was cut into the abutment wall before priming all the newly decked roof area.
A two layer high performance torch on felt system was then installed with new welted drips all round.
Finally a new flashing was fitted into the chase and sealed to finish it off.

Safe to say this roof is now good for many more years to come.

Another roof completed to the highest standard by the team.

An old felt roof with chipboard decking that had seen better days and in need off an overhaul.

Removed all existing felt and chipboard deck.
New battens added to existing joist so as we could vent the roof space.
New 18mm osb decking that was then primed.
A new upstand cut out and formed ready for a new skylight to be installed.
Re-felted with a high performance torch on system.
New welt drips all round and skylight installed.

Garage roof overhaul recently completed by the team

Well as you can see by the pictures this roof was long overdue for some tlc.
It had been leaking for so long that all the old chipboard deck had collapsed between the joists.

Total strip back to joists
New 18mm osb that was then primed.
2 layer high performance torch on felt ststem installed.
New chase cut
Ubiflex flashing installed and sealed.

Be cautious when looking to have flat roof works done.

Receny attended a local property where an elderly gentleman was quite concerned about some flat roof works he had done and said he felt he had been ripped off.
To be honest he had every right to be.
The work was absolutely diabolical and this certain local company had ripped him off to the tune off £4000 for works that should of been 100s not thousands. 😲😲😲.

Unfortunately we are coming across this week in week out where people are claiming to be flat roof specialists when they clearly have never had any kind of proper training or experience.
Tbh there are not many fully qualified flat roofers out there, just alot off have a go heros taking peoples hard earned money and leaving them with very substandard works.

I will add pictures in the comments off the finished works after we replaced the roof and added new guttering all round for him.

Safe to say he was very happy and his mind was put at ease knowing he now had a solid waterproof roof for many years to come👍😀

Returning customer to have front dormer re-newed

These old style dormers where the water falls back towards the house were never a great design, so just like the rear dormer we done previously they wanted the same done to the front.

Full strip back to existing deck
Firring pieces added to tilt the roof forward
New 18mm osb deck
New 2 layer high performance torch on felt system installed.
New guttering added to the front and side cheek.

No more standing water and a roof that will last for many years to come.

Another recently completed flat roof by the team.

This roof had been overlaid numerous times but was still leaking and causing damp problems.

Removed all the old existing layers
Primed and prepped.
Grp drip edge added to protruding front bricks.
Full new 2 layer high performance torch on felt system installed.
New welted drips added at the back and the new grp trim felted in so as to stop any water soaking the bricks and causing damp in the bedroom.

Another couple of recent flat roofs completed by the team.

The garage had seen better days with sagging decking and leaking felt.

This required a full strip up back to joists.
New 18mm osb decking fitted that was then primed.
A new 2 layer high performance torch on felt system was then installed, that will now last for many years to come.

The extension part had only recently been done. Unfortunately very badly and leaked practically straight away.
On this we stripped off the existing felt back to the decking, primed and re-felted with a new 2 layer high performance torch on system.

Another very happy and satisfied customer knowing that both these flat roofs are solid and waterproof for many years to come.

Recently completed flat roof in Gt Horkesley.

Another roof that had seen better days.
The chipboard deck had given way in alot off places due to age and various leaks so was taken back to the original joists and replaced.

New 18mm osb deck
New chase cut and all fully primed.
Installation of a torch on high performance 2 layer felt system.
Newly formed welted drips to perimetre edges.
New ubiflex flashing installed.

Fibreglass roof refurb in Mersea.

This roof was poorly installed from the get go. Not only was it cracking in alot of places but also leaking badly into the quite recently finished extension.

Cleaned all the roof down
Wire brushed to remove any debris
Sanded so as give a key for new coating
Acetone wiped to remove any dust etc
A new specialised liquid rubber coating applied that will not crack or split.
