🐴🔧 FELSTED HORSEBOXES – KEEP YOUR HORSE SAFE ON THE ROAD

This 3.5T horsebox came in with severely rotten side panels, dangerous, unstable, and no longer fit to transport horses safely.

We stripped out every rotten panel and rebuilt the sides using brand new 14mm GRP panels, giving the customer a structurally sound, safe and solid horsebox they can trust again.

Why this matters for every horse owner:

Your horsebox works hard. Weather, movement, loading pressure and age all take their toll, and rot often hides behind panels until it becomes a serious risk.

✔️ Rotten panels can collapse under load
✔️ Weak structures can twist during transport
✔️ Hidden damage can put horses and drivers in danger

A quick inspection can prevent a major failure!

If your horsebox is showing signs of wear, soft spots, leaks or movement… get it checked.

We specialise in repairs, rebuilds and safety inspections for all horseboxes, from small 3.5T units to large HGVs.

🚚🔧 FELSTED HORSEBOXES RAMP REBUILDS DONE PROPERLY 🐴✨
A customer brought her 7.5t horsebox to us after noticing her ramp decking, carpet and treads were rotting and becoming unsafe.
Once we stripped it back, the damage underneath was even worse but that’s exactly why people trust us.

We fully rebuilt the ramp from the metal frame up, including:

🔨 New 18mm hardwood ramp decking
🧰 New grip‑top rubber matting for secure footing
⚙️ New aluminium tread plates
🛡️ All joints sealed and protected

The result?
A solid, safe, professional ramp that will last for years and gives the owner complete confidence loading her horses.

If your ramp is soft, spongy, slippery, cracked or showing signs of rot, don’t leave it until it fails.
Felsted Horseboxes can rebuild it properly, safely and professionally.

Safety starts from the ground up!
SWIPE to see the full transformation ➡️

We recently took on this horsebox floor restoration project at the workshop. When transporting horses, having a completely solid, dependable floor isn’t just important, it’s absolutely vital for safety.

Lets look at the stages of the build:
📸 Photo 1: The original, worn-out floor coming into the shop.
📸 Photo 2: The old, rotten wood completely stripped back to the metal framing so we could clear out the debris and inspect the structure.
📸 Photo 3: The finished result! A brand-new, robust replacement floor topped with heavy-duty, ribbed rubber matting for maximum grip and durability.

📆 We are currently busy booking in repair and refurbishment work for the coming months! If your vehicle or trailer needs an upgrade, a safety overhaul, or a completely new layout, we’d love to help.
