This heat !!! Wow what can I say, the plants are all looking a bit fed up as well as me .
If you cut back perennials that have finished flowering, give them a water and feed you may get a second flowering this year .
I’m cutting back geraniums today

Hosepipe ban ?

11/07/2026

Standard bath time in my house !!!

Are you on a hosepipe ban ?
We are very lucky at the moment and don’t have a ban but I always try and reduce our water waste.
I bought this Titan water pump to help save water at home and at the nursery from our water troughs. It’s brilliant for pumping out the bath and kids paddling pool !
The garden may be starting to look tired but it will survive this weather , it’s quite established and I have planted hardy perennials!

One very happy client , I absolutely loved turning up to this house after not being here for over a month, I think I spent nearly an hour walking around enjoying it and seeing how everything’s looking. I can’t believe how well the plants are doing especially the ones planted near the house that was just rubble and clay.

One of today’s jobs

I don’t do much day to day but someone asked if I could do their hedge. It wasn’t very level so I tried my best to get it level by eye (in an ideal world you’d set up string lines to make sure everything’s straight), but it’s moving in the right direction. The client was very happy.
