The WDS lads are making quick moves around this beautiful farm! The aim of this job is to bring back to life all external windows, doors, staircases and gates etc

It’s always satisfying bringing timber back from years of weathering. What was once tired, worn and starting to rot is being carefully prepared, repaired and protected, leaving it looking fresh again while preserving the original character of the buildings.

Attention to detail is everything on projects like this.

We’re using Walther Strong & Company Ltd Liquid Mask again on the glazing to achieve razor-sharp paint lines and make removing paint from the glass a thing of the past. (Swipe through to see Neil peeling the mask away!)

For the finish, we’re applying Zinsser UK AllCoat Solvent Based, providing a durable, high-gloss finish that’s built to withstand the British weather while keeping the timber protected for years to come.

The job is still underway, but it’s already great to see the transformation taking shape. Looking forward to sharing the finished results soon.

The boys battled through the ever-changing Great British weather to get this one over the line!

Subway® UK & Ireland wanted to redesign and freshen up the exterior of their Burton upon Trent store, giving it a clean, modern look that really stands out.

WDS was proud to work alongside Diamond Bright Group on this project, and it’s safe to say the Subway team are over the moon with the finished result!

For maximum durability and a long-lasting finish, we used Zinsser UK AllCoat and Dulux Trade Metalshield – products built to withstand the British weather.

Another exterior transformation completed in Leicestershire for Wilson Decorating Services Ltd (WDS)

This property originally had all wooden windows, doors, gutters and fascia boards finished in a dark wood stain. The client wanted a cleaner, more modern look while still keeping the character of the property — and the final result completely changed the appearance of the home.

Preparation is everything on exterior work like this.

For adhesion and long-term durability we first applied Zinsser B.I.N, Followed by Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Satin

Colour choices:
- “Purbeck Stone” on all windows and doors
- Anthracite Grey on fascia boards and gutters

To protect the glazing throughout the painting process we used H20 liquid mask — and the removal at the end was incredibly satisfying 😅

Exterior decorating projects are all about the finish, preparation and attention to detail. Really pleased with how this one turned out.
