🏡 Case Study | Whole Home Energy Upgrade
This property received a complete energy efficiency makeover, helping the homeowner move away from an ageing oil heating system towards a more efficient, lower-carbon home.
The project included:
☀️ Solar PV system with battery storage to generate and store renewable electricity.
⚡ SolaX hybrid inverter and battery, allowing the homeowner to make the most of the energy they produce.
🌡️ Air Source Heat Pump installed to replace an old, inefficient oil boiler.
🚿 New hot water cylinder designed to work efficiently with the heat pump.
🏠 Internal Wall Insulation was installed to significantly reduce heat loss. Improving the thermal performance of the home helps the air source heat pump operate more efficiently, maintain comfortable indoor temperatures and reduce running costs.
💨 New ventilation system fitted to maintain healthy airflow following the insulation upgrades.
🪶 Loft insulation upgraded to further improve heat retention and reduce energy demand.
