🌳 STAFF WANTED – TREE CLIMBERS & GROUNDIES 🌳
Due to an increase in workload, Northern Forestry & Arb are expanding our team and are looking for reliable subcontract Tree Climbers and Groundies to work with us on a part-time basis.
For the right people, the position may lead to full-time work in the future.
🌳 THE WORK
The majority of our workload is commercial tree surgery and forestry work, with the occasional domestic job.
Work will include a mixture of:
• Tree felling & dismantling
• Climbing & aerial tree work
• Ground operations
• Woodchipper operation
• Mini loader operation
• Stump grinder operation
• Tractor & timber trailer work
• Site clearance & general tree work
• Occasional days at our yard helping with our firewood operation
🪚 GROUNDIES
Previous experience is beneficial, particularly with:
• Tree felling
• Chainsaw work
• Woodchippers
• Mini loaders
• Stump grinders
• Tractor & timber trailer work
However, experience with all of the above isn’t essential and further training can be provided.
🧗 CLIMBERS
We’re interested in hearing from competent climbers who are comfortable working across a range of commercial and domestic tree work.
✅ WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You must have the relevant chainsaw qualifications/certification for the work you will be carrying out.
We’re looking for people who are:

• Willing to learn and develop their skills
• Able to take pride in leaving a professional, tidy job
🎓 TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
We’re happy to invest in the right people. Additional training and development can be provided for candidates who have the right attitude and want to progress.
💷 PAY
Competitive rates – based on experience, qualifications and ability.
📅 HOURS
Initially part-time / subcontract basis, with the potential to lead to full-time work for the right person.
📍 Work is mainly across Lancashire and surrounding areas.
