It was a great pleasure helping to organise the Wallpaper History Society tour of Leeds Grand Theatre with the societys representative Caroline Bennett-Jane.
The tour touched on many of the aspects of old and new works with emphasis on historical Victorian high-relif Lincrusta
and Tynecastle Tapestry. A wide range of Johnstone's Trade Paints were utilised for their outstanding performance utilisation modern technology.

Late Victorian staircase embellishment hallway, 2 staircases & 2 landings situated in Heaton Moor, Stockport. Authentic period Lincrusta Empire frieze/ Edwardian dado panels, giving that wow factor!

Extensive preparation following removal of textured wallpaper, revealing tracers of the original sanitary paper.

It was a pleasure to have been chosen to participate in the Johnstone's Trade Paints Painter of the Year Awards 2025 Education category in Glasgow on Saturday 16th May, even though not successful in becoming the winner. It is satisfyingly rewarding to know that the Lincrusta restoration at Tranby school was acknowledged for the awards due to the meticulous restoration skills employed and finished with an authentic flat finish from the extensive Johnstones paint range.

Congratulations to the winners 👏👏👏👏

The event began with a small but considerate gift sourced from regional suppliers with exceptional hospitality and the opportunity to meet the legendary snooker player Dennis Taylor, who helped to raise substantial funds for the mental health charities Mind & Inspire supporting individuals who work alone.
