Visited this garden yesterday. Designed February, Landscaped March to May and planted phase 2 perennials on 22nd June. Irrigated with drip hoses to cope with the searing heat, but full of colour and bees and ladybirds. It’s hard to believe this has only been here 4 months. Thank you Genus Plant Sourcing for supplying the plants.

What a difference a week makes in Landscaping. The wonderful garden of Jacquie Cox has been transformed in little over a week by Mike Dempsey | MWD Landscapes Huge thanks as always to this superbly talented team of Mike, James, Harry and Jake. The very creative Matt of Matthew Potts has begun assembling his stunning trellis, lots more to come and last but not least the stunning limestone trough centre piece has been delivered by Darren Garden antiques and old stone flooring. I cannot wait to get this planted up ready for Jacquie to enjoy.
I love working with her, she is a dream client. Thank so much for believing in the design.

“ I wanted to thank you, Chrissie and Sarah for all your hard work yesterday. You and the team work non stop and I don’t know how you do it frankly. It’s so nice now to look out over our lovely garden . It looks amazing! Thank you! “
So lovely to receive feedback from our clients. Our journey started in February 2025, when we met they were completed renovating their house as photo 2 and asked me to produce a design that they would like to complete in phases. From presenting the design in May 2025, we began Phase 1 landscaping in October on the avenue. The view they would get from their new kitchen window. This involved digging out a leaking pond, removing a summerhouse and levelling the area. Old trees were removed that were planted too close to the wall. Then we planted in the avenue of large birch trees and yew hedge as a backdrop in December. This hides the new shed and compost area. So we hadn’t missed the opportunity of planting them. Work then resumed in August this year and the borders were prepared, cobbles laid to edge the borders and gravel path installed. There was also an under ground tank installed with electric for a water feature in a next phase. We returned last week to complete the planting of the avenue with thanks to Genus Plant Sourcing for supplying all the trees and plants. The clients have moved into their beautiful home, but are still finishing off inside too, so they very sensibly wanted to install in phases, carefully considering every area. We look forward to Phase 2 which will be undertaken over winter.
But I thought important to show the before during and after photos to show the level of work involved to create a simple and elegant space.

A glimpse of this beautiful Cotswold rectory where we have been restoring the garden for nearly two years. It had sadly been slightly neglected. Not intentionally by the owners but too much for the gardeners there to keep on top of. We now are able to go in once a month with 2 or 3 of the team throughout the year and work alongside the lovely gardener who is there two days a week to maintain this wonderful space. This is what it takes to maintain a beautiful garden all year around. It’s been a long uphill journey, but finally we are on top of things.

The simplicity of white pear blossom under planted with white tulips or narcissus Thalia. Brings a very timeless and classic look to this beautiful garden I designed.
We were back today for the new owners preparing it for a private visit for our local garden club in May.
