Colleagues from our Avove Ireland framework took part in the Construction Employers Federation Charity Golf Day at Lisburn Golf Club.

It was a fantastic day filled with golf, networking, and friendly competition, bringing together people from across the construction industry.

We're proud to have supported the UK Junior Water Prize Work Experience Week 2026, helping students to explore careers in the water sector, engineering and sustainability.

From visiting a live wastewater treatment site to developing innovative solutions to global water challenges, the week gave students real-world insight and valuable skills in teamwork, problem-solving and communication,

Our Nature & Biodiversity shortlisting recognises the delivery of Aghanloo Wastewater Treatment Works for Northern Ireland Water, where we have applied nature-based solutions to create a low-carbon treatment system.

Utility Week Live brought together 4000+ energy and water professionals, with 250+ speakers sharing insights on the challenges and opportunities shaping our sector.

From innovation and sustainable infrastructure to the growing role of data, digital tools and AI, the focus was clear: turning ambition into action. Themes like nature-positive utilities and environmental resilience showed how low-carbon, circular approaches are becoming central to performance.

Speaking about attending the event, Matt Long, from our Marketing & Communications team said:

𝟯𝟭 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 💙

Ashley Wootton, Site Manager on our Severn Trent is taking on the 31 Miles in May challenge to support mental health awareness and fundraising. 👏

As one of our Mental Heath Heroes at Avove, Ashley is committed to encouraging open conversations and helping others feel they are not alone.

This challenge is especially meaningful for Ashley. This year, he turned 33 and is marking 20 years of living with rheumatoid arthritis, having been diagnosed at just 13. His experience has shaped a strong belief that physical health and mental wellbeing are closely connected.

To celebrate his milestone birthday, Ashley is raising funds for Mental Health UK, a charity that offers support, advice and guidance to anyone experiencing a mental health problem.

Every mile walked is part of that journey, turning personal resilience into support for others 💙
