𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 🌍

We're proud to be supporting the delivery of a £2.5 million upgrade at Cabragh Wastewater Treatment Works as part of the DLJ Water joint venture.

Working on behalf of Northern Ireland Water alongside our DLJ Water partner Deane Public Works and design partner Tetra Tech, we're helping increase the site's treatment capacity to support future growth, improve resilience and protect the local environment.

The project will provide enhanced wastewater infrastructure for the community, helping safeguard the River Blackwater while ensuring the works can continue to meet high environmental standards for years to come.

It's another great example of how collaboration is delivering sustainable infrastructure that benefits both communities and the environment.

Our SPEN team recently rolled up their sleeves to help transform a local cricket club in Bury, tackling everything from tree maintenance and fence repairs to clearing overgrown areas and improving the grounds.

The result? A refreshed community space that can be enjoyed by players, supporters and local residents for years to come.

For the third year running, our Executive Leadership Team is taking on a fundraising challenge in support of our charity partners, Mind and Maggie's Centres.

On 12 September, the team will tackle the Dambusters Challenge, a demanding cycling event through the Peak District's Hope Valley and surrounding reservoirs, inspired by the famous Dambusters story.

The team are taking on this challenge to support two incredible charities that provide vital help to people when they need it most.

Speaking about taking on the Dambusters Challenge, Avove's General Counsel, David Holmes, said:

"We're looking forward to taking on the Dambusters Challenge and raising money for two worthwhile causes. This will be the toughest challenge yet for the Exec. They don’t call this the Peak District for nothing! Every donation will help make a difference, so thank you to everyone who supports us along the way."

A huge well done to the 11 colleagues from our NPG and SPEN frameworks, who recently completed their training programmes and graduated at our special celebration event in Durham.

Each graduate was presented with a certificate and a £100 voucher in recognition of their hard work, commitment and achievements, before enjoying a well-deserved lunch with the management team.

Congratulations to Raman Behal, who has recently achieved the Association for Project Management (APM) Project Management Qualification (PMQ) having completed the APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) in 2025.

The APM PMQ is a globally recognised qualification that demonstrates strong project management knowledge and skills, reflecting the dedication and commitment required to achieve it.

𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗪𝗿𝗲𝘅𝗵𝗮𝗺 🏆

Our team successfully delivered a major outage at Clays Golf Club, Wrexham.

Last week, working in temperatures reaching 39°C, 41 arborists from our direct teams and supply chain partners cleared 10 heavily infested high voltage (HV) spans between 9:00am and 4:30pm.

Safety and welfare remained the priority throughout the day, with regular welfare checks, refreshments and support provided to teams working in challenging conditions.

Scottish Power's Tree Coordinator, Jonah Searby, praised Avove's ability to plan and execute a job of this scale in such extreme heat, describing the delivery as 'planning perfection', concluding that our approach was the 'gold standard now'.

Well done to all involved, we are extremely proud of everyone involved in making this such a successful day!

We're incredibly proud of Principal Engineering Manager, Rachel Huston, who volunteered as an official 'Legend' at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, helping to support one of the city's biggest sporting events behind the scenes.

Working within the Uniform and Accreditation team, Rachel helped volunteers, officials and staff receive the passes and uniforms they needed, contributing to the smooth running of the games from start to finish.

Rachel said the experience gave her the chance to meet amazing people, hear inspiring stories and be part of something truly memorable.
