We have a responsibility to guard against climate change. Designer believes we should be including solutions to water management as s fundamental part of the garden design development and processes. August was the hottest month globally since records began and this topic is not going to disappear. The conversations we are having now are vital for the survival of our industry, and the longevity of the plants and the wildlife habitats that we love in our gardens.

Join him on Thursday 17th September 2pm to 5pm, with Head of Horticulture for Creepers Nursery, and , former head of Arboretum, Gardens and Horticulture services at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, to discuss what we can be doing in landscaping and horticulture to safeguard for the future.

Tickets for this panel cost £10 and all proceeds go to our charity partner (formerly The Gardener’s Benevolent Society). Book this as a part of our next Open Day, which includes free PPD sessions with and – booking essential.

It’s been over three months since RHS Chelsea, but we are still so appreciative and proud of the Team, partners, suppliers, sub contractors and volunteers who helped to create the Gold-winning Killik & Co ‘A Seed in Time’ Garden.

We are taking a moment today to remember Richard Lavelle. Our thoughts are with his family.

He worked with Landform for over twenty years. He worked on many award-winning gardens at RHS Chelsea and RHS Hampton Court Flower Shows over the years, many of them as foreman, for designers such as Nigel Dunnett, Jo Thompson, Jim Fogarty and Tom Hoblyn. In 2021, Richard became our in-house Machine Work Expert. Hard working and well respected by the Landform family and industry friends, he will be greatly missed by us all.

Focusing on the woven willow featured on the Royal Legacy Garden at RHS Sandringham by

Karen and Zara, mother and daughter team, wove the border edging for the planted beds with little arches across the narrower paths. The garden featured a few of the insect and bird habitats used on the at RHS Chelsea - plus a few new ones.

We were very saddened to hear about the loss of David Austin this past week. We want to express our condolences to David’s family and the David Austin Roses Team.

When we heard the news, Catherine MacDonald and the Planting Team were busy completing the The RHS Royal Legacy Garden. It felt poignant and right that three stunning cultivars from David Austin were chosen to celebrate the importance of the rose in our gardens for biodiversity. So we would just like to focus on these roses and pay a tribute to David’s legacy and contribution to horticulture.

Catherine and Biz Nightingale selected Rosa ‘Tottering by Gently’ - a favourite for its simple open flower; Rosa ‘Vanessa Bell’ - a beautiful pale yellow; and Rosa ‘Golden Celebration’ - a bolder yellow to hold its own among the bright reds and purples of the Salvias.

A special thanks to the Garden Team for helping with the planting on the Royal Legacy Garden, designed by in collaboration with His Majesty, King Charles III.

This RHS Sandringham Feature Garden showcases many of His Majesty’s favourite trees and plants, including purple and yellow flowers - RHS Plants for Pollinators - that are proven to help improve biodiversity in our gardens.

After the show, many of the trees and plants used in the show garden will find their forever-home in a new area within Sandringham Gardens - which the Sandringham Team will be planting and caring for.
