⚡ Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, grandads and father figures. Thanks for fixing things with varying degrees of success and insisting it was “working fine before.” Thinking too of those missing their dads today, especially the ones who could fix anything with a cup of tea, a bit of creative wiring and some duct tape 👨‍🔧😄

🚨 Why EICRs (electrical safety tests) are important, especially in older properties:

‼️ An EICR recently uncovered loose connections in this light fitting and no earth sleeving on the circuit protective conductors (earth wire of the circuit).

The red cables in this fitting, which were live, were simply twisted together and left floating inside the light instead of being terminated correctly.

⚡️We rectified this when carrying out the EICR and also checked all other lighting in the property to ensure there were no other issues like this.

⚡ Don’t wait for an electrical fault to become an emergency.

An EICR can uncover hidden issues before they lead to costly repairs, power outages, or fire risks.
