We’ve been keeping busy on a big job over in Staveley! 🚜💪

Now that’s a service trench! 😮

✔️ 300mm wide x 1.2m deep
✔️ Water pipe installed on a 3” sharp sand bed
✔️ Ducting for EV charging, greenhouse & shed supplies
✔️ External lighting ducting
✔️ 3” service ducting with draw ropes ready for mains cables
✔️ All backfilled and tidied ready for the next stage

A big job with plenty of digging — our trusty machines have certainly been earning their keep! 👌🚜

🚜 Job Completed – Glapwell 🚜

Another project completed and another happy customer! 💪

This job involved creating a brand-new two-tier garden to make the most of the available space.

The work carried out included:

✔️ Forming a two-tier stepped garden layout
✔️ Extending the upper level by approximately 4 feet
✔️ Extending the lower level by approximately 9 feet
✔️ Reusing the existing soil and clay to raise the lower section by around 4 feet
✔️ Levelling and tracking in all material to create a solid, compact base ready for the customer to build a structural sleeper retaining wall
✔️ Pulling back existing paving at the front of the ramp and shed, ready for a new concrete base

A great transformation with everything now prepared for the next stage of the project. We look forward to seeing the finished result! 👌

Another busy day on the tools and another happy customer! 💪

Today’s work included:

✔️ Removing overgrown shrubs, bushes, roots and stumps
✔️ Clearing excess greenery from behind the garage
✔️ Levelling the area ready for a new concrete shed base
✔️ Re-levelling part of the garden
✔️ Digging out for a new patio base

All waste was neatly piled up and left ready for the customer to arrange collection.

A productive day’s work with plenty achieved from start to finish! 👌

🏡✨ Project Complete – Pomegranate Road ✨🏡

After returning over the past couple of weeks, we’re delighted to share the finished result of this fantastic garden transformation.

Here’s what we completed:

✔️ Installed sleeper borders around the garden
✔️ Built a raised patio using stone blocks
✔️ Prepared and laid the base for a new garden office
✔️ Built a bespoke pergola on site, with all timber shaped and finished using routed edges
✔️ Installed four 6” timber posts, securely set in concrete
✔️ Added black slate edging for a smart finishing touch
✔️ Cut and laid 600mm x 900mm cream porcelain paving around the pergola, including rounded front edges and water drip grooves
✔️ Replaced the existing paving outside the bi-fold doors with matching porcelain slabs
✔️ Fully grouted, cleaned, and left ready for the customer to enjoy.

This has been a fantastic project to work on from start to finish, and we’re really pleased with the final result. We’d like to thank our customer for choosing R&A Digger Hire and we hope they enjoy their new outdoor space for years to come. 👏

Today’s service included:

✔️ Fresh genuine Kubota engine oil

Returned back to continue the next stage of this project and plenty more progress made already 💪

This phase included getting started on:
✔️ New raised beds
✔️ Patio preparation
✔️ Base preparation for the new garden office behind the garage 🏡

As if that wasn’t enough… a pergola also got dropped on us to build from scratch 😄 so another little addition to keep us busy!

Good to see the project starting to come together and looking forward to showing the finished result 👌🚜
