I put in three rhubarb crowns for next year, along with the apple tree there might be enough for a crumble or two.

Very relieved not to be working this afternoon 🥵 although there is always something to do in my garden. For once its north facing, shaded aspect has been a bonus, with very few casualties - unlike the Great Unstone Dustbowl I’ve just returned from 😥

My Cobra extendable hedge trimmer has been working extremely hard this week, culminating in this much needed tidy up in Alison’s garden. Great to give things a bit of shape and structure. Now, instead of an untidy (let’s face it) mess, the pieris, choysia, laurel, mixed hedge and privet all have space to breathe, with a backdrop of the gorgeous acer. Not quite finished but definitely a very thorough first pass. Big thanks to Alison for clearing everything up, a HUGE help 😊
