The borders, and especially the herb garden, are really flourishing up at AHH - much better in real life than in my not very good photos taken mid-force 10 gale.
Mint, parsley and tarragon are available for £1 a big bunch - bargain 🌿

I’m not a huge fan of fuchsias - with the exception of ‘Hawkshead’, a beautiful white variety which flowers from mid summer to the first frosts. This one is in my front garden and is doing really well this year 🤍

Salvias still looking lovely - these have been flowering for at least four months, such good value plants 🌺

Very relieved not to be working this afternoon 🥵 although there is always something to do in my garden. For once its north facing, shaded aspect has been a bonus, with very few casualties - unlike the Great Unstone Dustbowl I’ve just returned from 😥

It’s not all straw and dust - these roses in Sue’s garden shine like jewels in the desert, just gorgeous.
