Pressure Loss Solved!

We were called out to investigate a heat pump system that was steadily losing pressure.

After a thorough check of the setup, we pinpointed the issue right at the source, a leak on the underfloor heating manifold. Over time, even a tiny weep at the manifold can cause system pressure to drop and throw off your heating.

What we did:
• 🔍 Located the leak on the underfloor heating manifold
• 🛠️ Dismantled and remade the joint securely
• ✨ Thoroughly cleaned up the surrounding area to leave it looking fresh and spotless
Pressure is fully restored, everything is sealed tight, and the system is running sweet again!

Eco Forest Heat Pump Troubleshooting Success! 🔧

We were recently called out to service a Eco Forest Ground Source Heat Pump with a suspected brine loop leak. A dropping brine pressure can be worrying for a homeowner, but things aren’t always as they seem!

Upon closer inspection, Ben swiftly tracked down the real culprit, a faulty air valve on the ground loop expansion vessel. The valve was leaking all of the pre charged air inside. With no air pressure left in the vessel, the brine fluid had extra room to expand, making it look like the system was losing fluid through a leak elsewhere.

The Fix:
• ❌ Replaced the faulty air valve
• 💨 Recharged the expansion vessel to its correct pressure
• ✅ Tested and verified the system
No costly ground loop repairs needed. The system is now back up, fully operational, and running smoothly.

Ben was called out to investigate an issue, where he found a slight fracture in the pipework that was causing a refrigerant leak. Leaks like these can really tank your system's efficiency, we got it sorted.

Ben has now replaced the fractured pipe, recharged the system, and given it a thorough health check. It's fully repaired and heating the hot tub like a dream again! ☀️

🐝 Did you know we cover oil boilers aswell 🐝

We were called out to a boiler that was repeatedly locking out due to a lack of fuel. Time to get the diagnostic tools out and find out exactly what was going on.

After some thorough fault finding, we tracked the issue down to a failed motor capacitor. Because the capacitor had given up, it was stopping the fan and fuel pump motor from running, leaving the boiler starved of fuel.

We got the part swapped out, but while we were on site, we also noticed the system pressure gauge had seen better days so we swapped that out for a brand new one to keep everything reading perfectly.

The boiler is now back up and running safely, efficiently, and exactly as it should be.

We recently carried out the annual service on this fantastic Mitsubishi Air Source Heat Pump, and it is running beautifully.

This system is in absolute tip top condition, and that’s entirely down to the brilliant homeowner who stays right on top of their regular maintenance. Taking care of your heat pump year after year ensures it takes care of you when the weather turns.

During the service, we noticed the system strainer was looking a little bit dirty but that's exactly why we do these checks. It was a quick and easy rectify for us to clear it out and get that flow rate back to perfection.

🐝A clean heat pump is a happy heat pump🐝

This air source heat pump was due for its annual service and it's a good thing we caught it when we did.

As you can see, this internal filter was getting pretty choked up and wasn’t far off causing some disruptive flow errors in the near future.

Blocked filters restrict the system, making it work twice as hard and driving up running costs.
Everything has now been thoroughly checked, flushed, and cleaned out.

Remember: A clean heat pump is a happy heat pump and a happy heat pump is an efficient heat pump ❤️

🐝 A Mitsubishi Air Source Heat Pump that completely refused to power up 🐝

After tracing the issue, we found a failed electrical rotary isolation switch. The switch had suffered major water ingress because the original cable entry points weren't properly sealed during installation.

Over time, moisture got in and knocked the whole system out. We swapped out the faulty isolator for a brand new, correctly sealed weatherproof switch, tested the system, and got the heat pump and had it back up and running perfectly for the customer.

We'll be heading back out to this one this year for its annual service to make sure it's fully prepped and efficient for the winter months.
