Last week we headed over to The Old Farmstead in Bulcote, taking Daniel Conde and Marie Hobson from Porcelanosa along for a look around.

With the show home ready for sales, it was great to show them their sanitary ware selection in place and the high standard of finish throughout. There’s nothing quite like seeing everything come together.

We also caught up on progress at the old farm, keep your eyes peeled for our walkthrough video!

A huge thank you to Sarah for taking the time to show us around.

Apparently, not every plumber spends their evenings on LinkedIn or has a CV ready to go… 🙄

Fair enough. We’d rather you told us what you can do.

We’re hiring at Opus Plumbing & Heating, and you don’t need a polished CV to introduce yourself. We’re looking for skilled, reliable people who take pride in their work and are good to have on the team.

Email us a short cover letter, nothing fancy, just a bit about yourself, including:

• Which role you’re interested in: Maintenance & Servicing or Site Based Installation
• Your plumbing and heating experience
• Your qualifications, including domestic gas
• Where you’re based and whether you have a full UK driving licence
• When you’d be available to start
• Your phone number so we can give you a call

[email protected]

Applications close 5 October.

A professional plumbing and heating installation is about far more than simply getting everything connected.

It’s about planning the system properly, keeping the layout clean, making future access straightforward and ensuring every component is installed with long-term performance in mind.

This recent installation is a great example of the standard we aim to deliver across our projects at Opus Plumbing & Heating.

We’ll let the electricians have the spotlight, for now.

But when plumbing goes wrong, the damage can spread quickly.

Leaks, water damage, ruined ceilings, damaged flooring and disruption throughout the home are exactly why getting the installation right from the start matters.

Good plumbing is often unnoticed until there’s a problem.

That’s why quality workmanship matters at every stage.

A great day on (and off!) the course!

A big thank you to Brett Wharmby from Resideo for inviting the Opus team along to the Resideo Charity Golf Day 2026 at Frilford Heath Golf Club.

Fantastic weather, great company and a brilliant event all round with a team runner up trophy coming home with us too! 🏆

It’s always good to get away from the day to day, catch up with others in the industry and enjoy events like this.

Thanks again to Brett and everyone at Resideo for having us and putting on such a great day. We really appreciate the invite!

Another look at The Farmstead, Bulcote.

It’s the smaller spaces that often need the most careful planning, and this cloakroom is a great example of making every inch work.

Clean lines, a modern finish and another part of the development coming together nicely for the team at Opus Plumbing & Heating.

We’ll stick to plumbing and heating, the photography career might need a little more work.
