🚨 RESIN MYTHS

“Can you just put resin straight over my old driveway?”

Sometimes, yes… but it all comes down to what’s underneath 👀

If your existing concrete or tarmac base is solid, suitable and in good condition, it may be possible to overlay it.

But if the base is cracked, moving or failing, simply covering it with resin won’t solve the problem.

A quality resin driveway starts with proper preparation. ✅

📍 Penyffordd, part two. Over to David for the technical bit 👷

Natalie covered the colours, so here's what's going on underneath.

It's a bit of a mishmash job, with new areas tying into the existing tarmac drive:

▪️ Limestone setts going in at the front entrance
▪️ Most of the old tarmac overlaid, with the damaged section cut out and rebuilt on fresh MOT and VubaMac
▪️ A brand new turning circle so the customers can drive in and reverse park
▪️ Porcelain tile on the walkway up to the house

Everything else gets the resin finish.

And yes, he said it. "A very, very nice job." 😂

In fairness, the cameraman may have given him a nudge this time. Still counts.

📍 Penyffordd - another one underway!

Today’s walkthrough is an overlay transformation, and the customers have taken a little inspiration from a job just around the corner… our Penyffordd Legion project 👀

They’ve chosen the same combination:
🤍 Ipanema Beach
🩶 Manhattan border

Such a good pairing and we already know how well these colours work together. 😍

I’ll leave the technical walkthrough to David… but in the words of the man himself:

“This is going to be a really, REALLY nice driveway.” 😂

Starting to think we need to make a compilation of how many times he says it…
