Finance Manager / Financial Controller

Optimal Group NW Ltd is a growing construction and installation business and we're looking for an experienced Finance Manager / Financial Controller to take ownership of our day-to-day finances.
This is a hands-on role working directly with the company director.
Responsibilities include:
• Managing invoicing and credit control
• Chasing outstanding payments
• Weekly payroll and CIS
• PAYE, VAT and general accounts
• Bank and payment reconciliations
• Weekly cash-flow reporting and 13-week forecasting
• Monthly management accounts
• Budgeting and financial planning
• Liaising with our external accountant
• Helping develop financial systems as the business grows
We're looking for someone who:
• Has previous Finance Manager / Financial Controller experience
• Has strong construction and CIS experience
• Understands payroll, VAT and PAYE
• Is confident with Xero, Sage or similar
• Is highly organised and commercially minded
• Can work independently and take ownership of the finance function
• Can provide clear, straightforward financial information to the company director
We're looking for someone who can take control of the finances and give the director a clear picture of where the business stands at any time.
