electricians, help us spread the word! Share this on your company socials … your customers could be in the dark when it comes to having their electrics checked.
_____________________________________

Research recently commissioned by NICEIC shows 22% of homeowners haven’t had their electrics checked in over a decade.

An electrical check, known as an EICR, is an essential MOT for the home; helping to spot issues early and keeping people safe.

In privately owned homes, it is recommended an EICR is carried out at least every 10 years, and in rented properties it is a legal requirement to have one at least every 5 years.

The guidance is simple, prioritise the safety of your home by getting your installations checked by a NICEIC-registered electrician.

NICEIC - from the NICEIC

For reassurance, choose a NICEIC-registered tradesperson
We regularly assess registered tradespeople to ensure their installation work meets the relevant standards and legislation expected to keep us all safe.

Our Help Hub for householders and landlords provides answers to frequently asked questions when working with a tradesperson.

Peace of mind

NICEIC-registered tradespeople provide experienced and quality work, ensuring that all jobs are done to the highest standard.

Added reassurance

Each tradesperson will be able to supply you with certificates of compliance* and is backed by comprehensive insurances and our unique Platinum Promise**.

Save time and money

We ensure that NICEIC tradespeople have all the right insurances and policies in place should anything go wrong.

It's safer: for you and your home

NICEIC tradespeople's work is regularly assessed by us to ensure that they comply with the most up-to-date technical standards.

Ensure legal compliance

It’s a legal requirement to have a certificate of compliance for certain electrical work.

* Not all work requires certificates

**Backed by the NICEIC Platinum Promise, this means that we will step in and address any issues with technical standards of the work you commission(subject to our terms and conditions).

By choosing a NICEIC registered contractor, you can be confident that you are dealing with a competent, compliant business whose people hold the appropriate skills, experience and insurances needed to complete your project to the correct technical standards.
