The WillMac Group team has been busy carrying out a complete refurbishment of the weighing room and changing room facilities , including strip-out works, blockwork alterations and new internal timber partitions.

Fantastic progress so far, with everyone putting in another great team effort to transform the existing facilities.

It's always rewarding to be invited back by a valued client, and we're proud to continue building on our working relationship with Chester Race Company

Being a bricklayer for over 25 years, we think it’s fair to say Will’s got a bit of experience when it comes to different bricks, and we’ve definitely found one of our favourites here, Olde Cheshire Red from
We’ve chosen to use red stone mullions around the windows at Abbots Pines bringing some of the character of the neighbouring listed buildings into our scheme. Being in a very affluent area of Chester, it was important to us that the development suits its surroundings and complements what’s already here, rather than just building another standard box like most.
Once the timber windows go in, it should really bring everything together and give us that great heritage feel, in keeping with the traditional Chester architecture.

Following the successful refurbishment of the Jockeys’ Weighing Rooms at Chester Racecourse, completed ahead of schedule, we’re delighted to have been awarded our next project at Bangor on Dee Racecourse

The project will see the refurbishment of the existing jockeys’ weighing and changing facilities, bringing them in line with the high standard recently delivered at Chester.

We’ve already made a good start on site, with the rip-out well underway and the old wiring removed ready for a full rewire.

It’s great to see the quality of our work, and commitment to programme, recognised with the award of further works, and we’re looking forward to seeing the transformation take shape over the coming weeks.

A huge well done to our apprentice Ben on passing his Level 2 Brickwork Apprenticeship!

At WillMac Brickwork Ltd, we’ve supported apprentices for many years, investing in the next generation of bricklayers and helping to ensure skills and labour shortages don’t impact the future of our industry.

New Project Secured in Hoylake!
We are delighted to have been awarded the brickwork package for an exciting luxury waterfront development in Hoylake by
Works are scheduled to commence at the end of July, and we are looking forward to playing our part in delivering what promises to be a prestigious scheme in a fantastic waterfront location.
We're also pleased to be working once again alongside Platinum Construction, with whom we have built a long-standing and successful relationship through the delivery of several high-quality projects over the years.
Being selected for this development is a testament to the quality, reliability, and performance of our team, and we are grateful for the continued trust placed in us by both Blueoak Estates and Platinum Construction.

Charlie has shown a keen interest in developing his bricklaying skills throughout his apprenticeship and has consistently demonstrated a positive attitude and strong work ethic. He is always punctual on site and is a credit to the company.

We'd like to thank Charlie for all his hard work so far and wish him every success as he continues his career in the bricklaying industry. Well done, Charlie!

One of our other apprentices, Ben, will also be taking his EPA at the end of the month, we wish Ben every success and thanks to for their support throughout the apprenticeships.

We've made a great start on our latest project, a new unit at Wealstone Care Home in Chester for and , where Willmac has been appointed to deliver the full brickwork package.
The ground floor block and beam installation is underway today, and with progress moving well, we expect to be starting the superstructure in around two weeks. We are also contracted to complete the block beam structure throughout the project .
A good effort from the team on site, who continue to deliver quality workmanship and keep the programme moving forward.
We look forward to sharing further updates as the project progresses.

We are pleased to be able to share the completed photos of the Chester Racecourse refurbishment which we carried out for Racecourse . The project came in ahead of time and was put to the test for the first week of the race season, thank you to all subcontractors for working collaboratively and a shout out to for their excellent joinery work.
