We've made a great start on our latest project, a new unit at Wealstone Care Home in Chester for and , where Willmac has been appointed to deliver the full brickwork package.
The ground floor block and beam installation is underway today, and with progress moving well, we expect to be starting the superstructure in around two weeks. We are also contracted to complete the block beam structure throughout the project .
A good effort from the team on site, who continue to deliver quality workmanship and keep the programme moving forward.
We look forward to sharing further updates as the project progresses.

We are pleased to be able to share the completed photos of the Chester Racecourse refurbishment which we carried out for Racecourse . The project came in ahead of time and was put to the test for the first week of the race season, thank you to all subcontractors for working collaboratively and a shout out to for their excellent joinery work.

This week has been all hands-on deck as we get underway on a new project in Chester. We’re proud to be delivering the brickwork package for a new care home facility in Upton on behalf of EFT GROUP.

Last Saturday saw the annual Duck Race for the The Countess Charity , raising an amazing £25,229.77 for their Extra Mile Appeal!!
WillMac Brickwork proudly sponsored this years duck on behalf of St Columba Catholic Primary School (). A fantastic community event to be involved with even if Mac the Quack didn't bring home a medal ............... but it’s the taking part that counts, right? 🤣 We’ll be back next year with an upgraded, race-ready contender!

Great progress being made on one of our projects in Huntington, and not a bad view to go with it either!

Big progress at Chester Racecourse

We were brought in to fully strip out and rebuild the jockeys’ weighing room and changing facilities.

That’s meant full demo of the old betting office, extending the changing areas (including new female facilities and showers), and a full internal refurb throughout.

We’ve delivered all trades on this one, brickwork, steel, stud, full internal fit out, the lot, getting everything ready and over the line.

It’s been a proper push on programme, coordinating labour, materials and keeping everything moving day to day.

We’re delivering this one 4 weeks early… with painters, ceilings and flooring all being completed next week.

Not bad going, especially at a racecourse where timing is everything 🐎

We recently revisited Cwrt Pentwmpath in Llay, where our brickwork package is now complete and the site is almost ready for its new residents.
This development will provide 17 new apartments and 8 bungalows, transforming the site of a former warden-controlled apartment scheme into high-quality, modern homes.

It’s always rewarding to step back onto a completed site and see the finished result. A key factor in the smooth delivery of this project was maintaining consistent labour levels throughout the programme. By ensuring the right number of skilled operatives were on site at the right time, we were able to sustain progress, avoid delays and keep the brickwork package firmly on schedule.

It also makes a real difference working alongside such a strong site management team at . Good communication, coordination and a shared commitment to quality always make a project more rewarding and contribute hugely to its overall success.

Willmac Brickwork Ltd has started work on the internals this week including demolition and refurbishment of the weighing room and changing room facilities at the Chester Racecourse

• Careful demolition of existing structures
• Refurbishment and reconfiguration of internal spaces
• Installation of new, modern female changing rooms and associated support areas

This exciting project will enhance the venue's infrastructure, with a particular focus on expanding and modernising female changing facilities.

The Willmac build Teams are at Chester Racecourse, progressing well with the extension and alterations to the Weighing and Changing Rooms.
