As Gas Safety week continues, remember to always use a qualified engineer.

Anyone carrying out gas work for you must be Gas Safe registered. If they’re not, they’re working illegally. Cutting corners to save money is not worth it; it can put lives at risk and could cost more to fix. Check your engineer is Gas Safe at GasSafeRegister.co.uk

Tenants, take no chances with your gas safety:
✅ Never DIY gas work
✅ Check your engineer's Gas Safe ID card
✅ Allow access for safety checks and maintenance
✅ Get any gas appliances you own checked by a Gas Safe engineer
✅ Test carbon monoxide alarms regularly
✅ Report faults to your landlord quickly; and

Faulty or poorly maintained gas appliances can produce carbon monoxide. Reduce the risk by arranging regular safety checks and servicing with a suitably qualified Gas Safe registered engineer, keeping vents and flues clear, and installing audible CO alarms.

blu-fish are looking for a qualified, experienced electrician to join their expanding close knit team. The role is local to the area and largely focused on carrying out EICR's and small electrical works.

The role is well supported by the Office administration team, who diarise the work. Details are then delivered electronically to a mobile device, allowing note taking and job reporting to be carried out on a paperless system, therefore the candidate should be organised and able to complete job information via the mobile device.

Qualifications required:

Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation or equivalent
18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
2391 Inspection and Testing qualification

A company vehicle, phone, uniform, fuel card and pension are provided.

Standard working hours are from Monday - Friday 8:30am -17:00pm.

The role would also require a commitment to the on-call rota from October-March (inclusive) However, this is only usually around a 1 in 4 weekend basis.

Holiday entitlement - 20 + bank holidays, with a potential for an extra day per year of service maximum 5 days.

Salary - Salary is up with industry standards and negotiable based on experience and qualifications
