An AFTER and BEFORE.

We were tasked to find a suitable turf for this roof. It took some hunting and then we found a turf grown for use on steep banks and sand dunes. Slow growing and with low moisture requirements and it looks absolutely spectacular.

An Chris Beardshaw project.

Before and after a couple of exciting days turfing.

An interesting turf for the roof. We were tasked to find some grass suited to growing on the free draining lightweight growing media covering this roof.

After quite a bit of hunting we found this turf from Lindum Turf Ltd designed for sand dunes or banks where moisture stress is common. It is also designed to grow slowly which reduces maintenance requirements in difficult situations.

Should work a treat to give one very green roof.

Terrific turfing today.
