What will you be doing?

No two days are the same. You'll have the opportunity to undertake site surveys, prepare existing and proposed drawings, assist in developing design proposals, attend client meetings, and help guide projects from initial concepts through to planning. As your confidence and experience grow, youll be encouraged to take independent ownership of your own projects and develop both your technical and client-facing skills.

From traditional Swedish cottage to contemporary family home. 🇸🇪

This typical Swedish country cottage, known as a ‘Torp’, had the traditional layout of two small rooms with very low ceilings on each floor.

The brief was to transform the property into modern family accommodation while respecting its character. The contemporary extension creates a light, open-plan living space with views across the surrounding forest.

The extension is finished in burnt timber cladding, a sustainable material that complements the natural setting.

As a member of the Swedish Architects Association, Paul is able to undertake architectural projects in Sweden.

A Tewkesbury landmark, thoughtfully refurbished.

We’re proud to have recently completed the refurbishment of Tewkesbury Methodist Church, working alongside Thorn Homes, who carried out the building work.

The project has transformed the space while retaining the character and features that make this building so special.

From the new glazed entrance doors, bringing more natural light into the entrance and allowing visitors to appreciate the beautiful stained glass windows, to the newly created spaces throughout the church, every element has been designed with the future use of the building in mind.

The refurbishment includes:

• A new kitchen and coffee area within the main church
• The existing kitchen converted into an office
• An opened-up stairway entrance, bringing more light and improving access
• A glazed meeting room on the mezzanine level
• New storage and a staircase providing access to an additional mezzanine storage area in the rear hall
• Glazed screens to the upstairs balcony, creating a flexible meeting and function space while retaining views into the church
• A new rear entrance, replacing the hazardous side entrance
• Improved wheelchair access, including a new lift

The new coffee area also forms an important part of the church’s plans to create a more welcoming community space and encourage people to use and enjoy the building.

The new rear entrance allows the function hall to be used independently of the main church, while providing improved accessibility with the addition of a wheelchair lift.

PSK Architect designed the project, with Thorn Homes Ltd
carrying out the construction work, bringing this much-loved Tewkesbury landmark into a new chapter.

Creating space for better living 🏡

A recent meeting with a client who is planning a small extension to create a fantastic open-plan kitchen, living and dining space.

Sometimes, you don’t need a huge extension to make a big difference. With thoughtful design and careful planning, even a modest addition can transform how a home feels and functions.
