Multi Trade Builder
Location: Cheltenham & Gloucestershire area
Pay: Great rates of pay, depending on experience
Job Type: Self-employed / Subcontract, full-time work available.
About the Role
We're after a skilled, all-round builder to join our team, someone who's happy getting stuck into carpentry one day, roofing the next, then masonry or finishing work after that. No two days look the same, and that's the point. You'll be helping us deliver building and refurbishment projects from start to finish, working across pretty much every trade along the way.
We're a family business, and our name means something to us, every job gets the same care, whether it's a small repair or a full refurb. Skills matter, but honestly, we care just as much about how you show up: turning up on time, doing a proper day's work, and taking pride in getting it right rather than just getting it done. If you enjoy variety, don't mind switching between trades, and like sharing what you know, we'd love to hear from you, this includes helping guide our younger apprentices as they learn the ropes.
What You'll Be Doing
Groundworks, concreting, masonry, carpentry, roofing repairs and installs, and finishing work both inside and out, using your hand and power tools safely and confidently across the board. You'll work closely with the rest of the team to keep jobs moving and hit deadlines without cutting corners, and you'll help show the apprentices the ropes along the way. Safety comes first on every site, every time.
What We're Looking For
• Proven experience across multiple trades (carpentry, roofing, masonry, groundworks, and general building) you don't need to be an expert in all of them, but a solid working knowledge is important
• A strong work ethic and dependable timekeeping, we're looking for someone reliable and consistent, not just someone who can list the right skills
• Confident and competent using hand tools and power tools
• Good understanding of construction health and safety regulations, and a safety-first attitude on every site
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload
• Clear communicator, equally comfortable working solo or as part of a team
• Someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship and treats every project, big or small, with the same care
• Happy to support and mentor apprentices, helping them build their own skills on site
• A full, valid driving licence, you'll need to be able to get to different sites across the Cheltenham & Gloucestershire area
Why Join Us.
If you like variety and don't want to be boxed into one trade, this is a good fit you'll build a broad skill set across all kinds of projects. We're a family business built on trust and a good name in the local community, and we look after our people the same way.
